Basically cheating the system the father owned a carpentry business and made really good money I mean he had 5-6 employees working for him who were making good money as well. I make $48,000 a year in California and I can barely even make it on that. Also, call me insensitive, but I think people are stupid to keep having babies when they can't afford it and don't even own a house yet. I make $48k and wouldn't dare have a baby without buying a house first. I also wouldn't have a baby if I'm not married but that's a different topic. Edit: the reason I say I'd want to buy a house first is because here in CA if you're renting, they usually increase your rent by about $50-$100 every year, which makes renting EXTREMELY expensive.

@@juliennetully4814 Well I live in California where your rent goes up $100 every single year. If you're renting while having kids, you're on a fast track to being FLAT BROKE. And I mean BROKE. My rent went from $1100 to $1200 to $1300 to $1400 and now I'm paying $1,500 per month for a small 1-bedroom apartment. When I renew my lease, it's going to increase to $1,600. Where I live, it's flat out stupid to have kids while renting. If you own a house, your mortgage payment will stay the same over the years, while all the renters are broke and on the verge of losing their apartment because it became so expensive. Having kids while renting in California is asking for serious financial trouble and instability. Regarding having kids out of wedlock... For me personally, my kids deserve better than that. They deserve to be born into a marriage, a covenant. Also, I'm not a baby momma. I'm a wife. I respect myself and my future kids enough to be married before I bring them into this world.

@aena mustafa Necessary is an arguable term. It's not necessary in a lot of careers for sure. Others it is. Certainly possible to have a lucrative career without it, although average wages for uni grads over one's life are substantially higher than non. There is certainly some self-selection there, though, so it's not an apples to apples comparison. Kind of like how medical doctors make a ton of money on average, but if you took the average MD and put them in another career they'd do well as well, because what makes them an MD (brains + drive) is applicable across many paths.

He can join the military. The Army caps at age 35, the Navy at age 34, and the Airforce at age 39. If he's 28, then he could do a tour of duty and have a Bachelor's degree at age 36 using the G.I. Bill. The catch is that he would need to get married so that his wife and kids get appropriate housing allowance. His wife can easily get a job and military-provided childcare or still stay at home.

The sad thing is that the lack of vision is why you see families in debt with low income like this. When you're starving, your main instinct to eat to rid of the hunger and not plan for the next several meals. It's difficult to look ahead and plan and seek out the necessary resources... The good side though, is that this guy stumbled upon Dave which means he's starting to look ahead and seek out the resources to get himself out of the situation.

This was so comical I had to replay it from the beginning a few times. 1) Why would you have another child if you’re broke living at home with her parents. 2) Marriage is too much of a big step but having kids with someone isn’t? 3) The first child was school age when she got pregnant the second time. As soon as her first son was off to school she should have been working not getting pregnant again so she can be a SAHM. 4) Again, I can’t stress this enough, why would you get pregnant again when you can’t afford to take care of yourself.

Move to Dallas more specifically Carrollton, Richardson, or East Plano TX work for Amazon. After a year when youre considered a resident in your county, enroll in DCCCD or Collin college get an associate degree in respiratory therapy technology, sonographer, firefighting, peace officer etc. Community colleges down here have great reputations, they are respected and tuition for in county residents is low. This area is also family friendly. God Bless you. I pray for the best for you and your children and fiance.

I would honestly say this as a Christian. A lot of people don’t understand that when you get these very important life events out of order like living with someone having kids and not being married, people usually struggle in their situation and they don’t realize because God is not blessing them. The reason why I say this, is because there is a difference in sense. A sin that is well thought out as opposed to a sin that is just an addiction or just happens involuntary there is a difference. If you choose to live with someone, shack up and pretend that you’re a married couple you’re pretending to have a relationship. That’s not normal. And that is something that is methodically planned out and you have to choose day-to-day to live in that sentence. It’s not like you slip up in a moments notice and the sin happens and there’s a big difference in the heart on these issues. And if you choose day after day to live in rebellion methodically planning this out and willingly making these mistakes there’s a difference it’s a heart issue. And God will not bless you more than likely.
