Pray for Lysa. In case y’all haven’t heard yet, New Year’s Day she announced on Instagram that she was getting a divorce as her husband unfortunately fell back into those same patterns he was in before. Even though she tried to save her marriage, she is spot on here when she says that you can’t work on someone anymore than they’re willing to work on themselves. It’s heartbreaking but I can’t blame her at all

I was married 39 years when I found out about my husband’s infidelity. I had went through many years of hurt. This topped any hurt I had ever experienced. I had suffered through breast cancer/ double mastectomy like Lysa and that pain was nothing compared to the pain of my husband’s affairs. I have the book, IT’S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE THIS WAY, by Lysa and I can’t wait to read it. It sounds like her story, is my story! I am still married but separated. I do need to forgive so I can accept the gift of healing from God. Thank you Lysa🙏🏼

😢😢😢😢😢😢😢I am soooo in that mess my husband’s infidelity and him not admitting it instead saying I am the some at fault for doing what I did to find out what I had been suspecting. Thank you Lord for getting me here cuz I’m thinking I can really try to forgive but can’t love with my husband anymore 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢from what I found out not just found out but saw. HELP ME LORD HERE.💘💔😢Thank you for sharing this. We are in the process of splitting up but it’s hurting me both ways . Either I stay I will still feel the pain the hurt. I loved this interview SO much!! It has helped me with a lot of questions regarding forgiveness. I have had God walk me thru this topic w/o the help of a human counselor but wished I could have found a good one but yet the Holy Spirit became that, which is better.

I can’t forgive what I can’t forget. I was not allowed to help with arrangements when my sister killed herself, I was not allowed at the service and the same thing happened with my brother-in-law died because of my evil niece. I hate her and will never forgive her. I was deprived of being able to say goodbye to them and my sister was my only sibling. I have had so many struggles in my life.

Forgiveness is for you not them. Forgiving someone does not mean you continue to let them mistreat or disrespect you.

@@pamcurtis2717 you must find ways to set boundaries. Sometimes that means having low contact or no contact with a person. Sometimes it means "grey rocking"(look that up) a person. I grey to rock people that I must spend time with. I don't let them feed off my reaction and its no fun for them. If they continue you have to draw a line on certain behaviors, you can't let them run your life. Prayers. Live loved and choose Joy.♥️🙂

If possible - NO CONTACT. Read my book, "Marriage, Mind-funk, and Mindfulness by Kay Dean". Forgiveness does not say it is okay to do the same thing over and over again as a person with NPD does. She might have a personality disorder. God bless.

Why do you allow it? Have some boundaries or walk away. You do not need to put up with someone hurting you on a daily basis. I know not every situation is easy or straightforward but you should not have to live like that. You can do all things through Christ who is your strength. Good luck and God bless you. X

Doesn't "forgiving ourselves" imply we have moved into a place of superiority greater than God? Receiving the grace and forgiveness from God does seem to be the key thing - we can only heal in that because we are "loving justice and mercy and walking Humbly" with our God. The need to forgive ourselves implies we are judging ourselves - and we need to leave that to God to reveal in us, don't we?

The point we're making is that we shouldn't let pride get in the way and think we are beyond God's forgiveness. God gives grace and we should accept it humbly.

Except in abuse or infidelity. Had minister help me see why the bible give rite of divorce. A man that will not take care if his family is worse than an infidel.

@@kellibodony1077 Exactly. Harness of heart means one or both spouses are unwilling or unable to behave as God would have us behave. It starts with us though. It's on us if us human beings do not bow before God in ashes and sorrow and prayer and fasting to seek transformation and redemption and forgiveness and reconciliation with Him first and with others after. That is the only reason for divorce.

I totally disagree. Abusers love to hear people say what you’re saying. They are counting on guilting someone into staying by trying to use God and that’s wrong. God didn’t make us married. He created us for way more than abuse.
