What size of solar pump is needed for a 80 meter borehole? with a water yield capacity of one litre per second

We just installed one of your systems at our ranch. My uncle bought the system so I am not sure of the exact model. But we have the pump sitting at 275 feet from the surface and about a rough 40-45 feet below the water level. To break head pressure the pump has to be set at around 80-85% to even see a trickle. At 100% power and full sun we are getting about 4gallons per minute/ 240 gph. I have 2 concerns, when there is not enough sun, you can hear the pump running but not able to push water completely out. Is this ok? Also would installing a check valve near our cistern to prevent the water from going back down during low power or when it shuts down for the day be ok? I would like for the water to not have to push back up 230 ish feet to get water again. I tried looking on your website for a place to email you guys, but only found a phone number. Thanks for your time.
