Brig is only "good" against him if he dives the backline and she's doing her job; instead of of doing the metal rank thing of trying to be a frontliner.

Because they are crybabies, supports got overpowered and 1-3 free out of jail cards each, because sups cried on ow2 release non stop and they still do Difficult heroes should be the meta, dive should be the meta But community cried about dive so much, bliz made heroes who counter it both braindead easy and very good. Enjoy poke meta. How dying to the hero, who needs to get in a kissing range and hit all of his shots is more frustrating than dying to dmg boosted oneshot is beyond me

I think he’s just not as efficient as he is on other heroes he has a lot more experience playing. for example, the little things like using his empowered punch on the ball at 1:14 instead of cancelling and using it against the squishies on the opposite side.

@@Alex_Aramayo zarya got buffs for her cooldowns (mitigates damage + cleanses most effects) -> supports sustain zarya -> supports have high sustain themselves Majority of tanks haven’t gotten sustain buffs recently so it makes sense why you have 4 deaths per 10 minutes on a character with high damage, 8 second damage mitigation cooldown x 2 and shield to regenerate health naturally

@@bambampewpew32 okay so i admit empowered punch is fine, but i mean, to be fair, it is pretty much the weakest boop....besides lucio's. in terms of knockback its great for an aoe boop...but literally everything else sucks about it. especially when you compare it to boops that DON'T require you to get close like pharah with her aoe boop or orisa, both of which do the same kill setup stuff as doom does with empowered punch or even the ones that do require you to get close like ball with infinite mobility+chain boops, or zen with infinite cd kicks, and you cant even argue it has a lower cd because in order to get empowered punch you need to block damage or ult meaning generously you get it every 8 seconds keeping it in line with other knockbacks. but yeah saying dooms punch is the worst when lucios 4 second cd boop that also requires you to get close while also being outclassed by a quick melee in EVERY POSSIBLE WAY exists is just factually incorrect.

if you wanna play doom right you HAVE TO make mistakes, since almost everyone counters him the way to not do mistakes is literally to sit behind a wall and wait for ur team to dump and ult or two then dive during that. If you make mistakes like diving an ana and trying to dodge her sleep and get away with it then ur playing doom right. The more mistakes the better, however if you get punished for your mistakes with a counter ability you get punished 20 times harder than you should

As a doom main, most supports aren't gonna get bullied by you past plat. That seems to be the argument around them wanting doom nerfed every week. There's too much bs in their kits to make doom unplayable. Most of the time you're going to be trading with supports for fights. I am saying this as an ex t500 (I don't play comp anymore). I don't want supports nerfed too hard but they just feel like an extra 2 dps most of the time. It'd be nice to see them being actual supports/"healers"

Was trying to fling myself up with seismic slam and canceling it to try and punch the mercy/echo/pharah, only to hit the punch and do next to no damage, and even when I shoot at them, they immediately fly away too fast for me to track, next thing I know I’m hooked, hacked, hindered, trapped, anti’d, slept, hit with javalin, slowed, stunned or whatever They need to buff him slightly or give him another passive, something like his seismic slam can increase his punch damage a bit or something

That is why the cooldown cycle is so fucking important for Doomfist... One mistake and you are dead :( And it is even worse vs Sombra, she hacks you with 0 skill and you are done. You can win, but the skill they require is much less.

Doom from the base was just not built to be a tank. Make him old dps doom again and just nerf him into the ground and he’ll still be more fun. The amount of cool techs and movement they’ve removed especially by forcing him to play a totally different way by being the only tank make him way less fun, more weak, and wayyyy harder. No, Doomfist is NOT a good hero. It’s the players that are just that good to make him pop off despite playing Doomfist. Why play the high skill, mechanically demanding, high effort, high risk, mediocre reward, and very easily counterable hero when you can just pick up Sigma for 2 hours and get even more reward for less effort?

@@MeisterSchwabbo Sigma is the best tank right now, no doubt about it. Also when you think about it, Sigma is just a better Orisa. Sigma does more damage than Orisa. Has a stun projectile just like Orisa. Has a much better ult. And why mitigate damage when you can just not take damage at all? While Orisa, Zarya, and Hog are easier, they’re a lot more counterable. Orisa counters hog. Zarya counters Orisa. Zarya is countered by Winston but Hog trashes Winston. Sigma on the other hand is probably the least counterable tanks right now. Anyone who counters him are either bad like Rein or don’t counter him hard enough to make him useless.

Doom mains have 2 lessons in OW2. Lesson 1: If you really can't handle how hard your character is, it's a skill issue XD Lesson 2: He's still great fun, you just have to thrive in the same goofy chaos that used to be exclusive to OW1 Ball mains

One fundamental of doom that carries over from ow1 is the importance of constantly moving. You need to be unpredictable and take as little damage as possible and generate as much shield as you can so you can only tank damage when you need to and charge punch. Soon as you have it, you need to either slam to either disengage or go in with more shield/bait cds. Missing a punch at all, especially a full power/empowered wall slam is the absolute worst thing you can do on doom. All the work you did, the movement, the not dying or letting the enemy kill your team, only to either whiff or get a stupid bloody slider. I love playing doom (and ball) but christ watching this hurt my soul.

we suffer and just try our best to play a perfect game. Most of my situations go like this….im the villain fighting 5 Naruto clones….with all of the attention on me and my dps fail to clean up or just nowhere to be found. Ill go positive than my whole team and some on the enemy team but the loss is still my fault. Im distracting all day n night for what and my team still can’t capitalize off anything😂.

Never miss a single shot, always hit headshots, never miss a single ability, manage your CDs, dont get countered by 2/3 of the roster, know when to engage, blah blah blah the character is bad and only a select few people who spend thousands of hours can actually make him kinda work.

It's extremely difficult, undoubtedly. I'd recommend first learning how to utilize every tool at your disposal to their fullest effect (ie what tech you have and what value you provide) and then start learning matchups and synergies. Then keep learning, constantly. The moment you stop learning about your enemy, about yourself, about your team, and the moment you stop adapting is the moment you die

And as for how to kill people, Doomfist is a character that uses his abilities to get in and shotgun people. One of his main gameplans is to isolate his targets and pick them off one by one, and the other is to force the enemy team together and leverage the pressure his team generates via suppressing fire and abilities to assassinate backrow targets
