I think some people are confused. The comparison at 1:47 is not a comparison between Climax and Moderation. That is a comparison of Moderation DPS when going for back attacks and when not. Granted the clip in tandem with what he is saying does make it confusing if you don't recognize Moon and Sun skill animations.

What are you running currently? While it definitely has some drawbacks it still can be really good. Vast majority of time I pull mvp on guardians/ Argos etc. As a basically f2p player at 1383 doing 3/3/3/1 for engravings.

I have a question regarding the class engraving For climax build do you loose a lot of dps if u cant refill the gauge by 12s can u switch if u have lets say 2 bar will u still get some of the effect? (ex. like deathblade death orb) For self control is lvl 5 gem enough overall to reduce the skill cooldown? i like both of the engraving xD cant decide Thanks for the video

in KR, 1415 is indeed early game. We are technically still in the early stage too. I believe Albert has posted a vid showing how big the chasm is once you hit the legion commander raid levels. It really will turn some people off.

That's only in KR. Here, I would say early game starts at 1340. That is when you enter big boys club. True endgame in western servers starts at 1370. I'm 1355 atm, full free2P

I was wondering, you make a point of min-maxing the parry skill when you're pushing DPS in the one build but I noticed that people don't seem to put any points into that skill. Why is that? I also noticed a lot of people make it seem like the climax build doesn't care about back attacks, but I noticed most of the skills are tagged back attack. So why doesn't it care about back attacks as much? Is it just because it has such high crit on its own?

In the training room DPS thing. Are you comparing Class Engravings or if she is hitting the rear/head vs free stance? Cause if so, one of these is 675k and one of them is 1.1 mil, which is obviously a lot more than "slightly higher"

You need to include that you have to constantly switch position as bosses dont stand still. Which makes overall higher dps, but realistically slightly only.

I think self controls will play more like a classic martial artist (Say, first intention Wardancer), where you only use your base skillset, no identity. So you keep the glaive-like skills. Climax will utilize both skillsets, glaive and spear(red), seems liek there's some sort of bonuses she gets whenever she switches stances, but needs some bar filling before she switches to hit these bonuses. So you'd need very high spec to fill the gauge and upkeep the switches giving bonuses.

self control = no Z button, just spam blue skills climax = has Z button, dump blue skills, press Z, dump red skills, press Z, repeat (that's why you want high specialization stat, so that you can reset Z in time just as your blue/red skills are all fully dumped)

If you have any characters that have done luterra or were knowledge transferred, there are 2 yellow quests you can do there that will give 5 green books (by the proving grounds, and then the bard lady by the triport near chaos dungeon entrance, each take about 10 seconds to do), then there is a purple quest chain from Thirain that will give I think 15 green books and 7 blue books. You can do each on every character. I don't know if you can do it on power pass boosted characters, but I know for a fact you can do it on knowledge transferred ones. Or if you level up alts to farm the Solas cards from the Luterra quest line, that's almost exactly as far as you need to get in the story to unlock that purple quest line. Easy way to get some green and blue class engraving books on characters you either already have or alts you're leveling up for the cards anyway

It is so backwards that engraving that makes the game easier to play(mechanically) is more damage. Spec/Crit build is still strong, I think as early as 1370 with Argos crit set it is already viable assuming you have enough skill points and get a few cd gems. And there are a ton of possible build variations with skills/engravings with both spec/crit and spec/swift builds. Like AoA vs Adrenaline on Spec/Crit.
