This simulator is absolutely amazing. I was using XPlane 11 for the longest time but got a little tired of the bland environment it had. I am a real pilot so it's cool to have some level of detail in your world. I'd say the only difference between XPlane and MFS, is the realism. Firstly, MFS is about as realistic as it can get. But XPlane is like the standard in flight schools, so I guess they prefer that over Microsoft's. But for a general at home simulator, this fits the bill quite nicely.

SeriesS has a more stable 30 GPS. So the choice is between resolution X & frame rate S.

If you have a 120 hz TV the game unlocks the framerate and I'm lucky to have vrr and it runs butter smooth over 60fps.

Superb video, I've been playing the game on standard setting on the series s and it's simply incredible and very stable, amazing that a cheap console can do this so well, so relaxing sitting in front of a 60 inch TV and just flying., Also it works great with the Xbox controller, no need for a joystick, mouse or keyboard IMO.

Afaik they did quite a few performance improvements to this game after it was released. And the difference between console and pc is very noticable. Seems like they stripped out things like the hd textures, very (very) noticable when you're flying between the buildings. But running on a console this is still very impressive, and as you say a very passable experience which I would have enjoyed even if it was the full pc release

Nice video and commentary...well done! 1. When you say "max settings" in Xbox, are you saying 100% on ALL the sliders (traffic, ships, airport traffic, fauna, etc.) in the General Tab? 2. Yea or nay on adding an exhaust fan on the top of the console to help pull all that hot air out? I haven't checked with a thermal (yet) but I added a USB multi-speed one to mine and it certainly seems that the console runs a bit cooler than without one... Keep up the great work, compadre! Try PC now, today was also a pc update where they made the game use CPU/RAM/GPU more efficiently. My 1080 8gb runs it smooth now mostly ultra settings. Yesterday I had to run med settings.
