Blake understood. Treated it like a joke, but he understood. He saw the cracks in society, saw the little men in masks trying to hold it together...he saw the true face of the twentieth century and chose to become a reflection of it, a

I don't agree; I don't think Ozymandias pretended to be beat because he was smart enough to realize the Comedian had government support...I think the Comedian just plain beat his ass. The way he describes it dismissively as a crude but effective feint....it's the difference between being totally prepared artificially, and real life experience. Ozymandias has all this training, "the smartest man alive", to the point he thinks he's invincible - that in real life, not everything goes to plan. He didn't consider "what if Rorschach simply mailed a report about his findings to the press, before leaving for Antarctica?" - never occurred to him. Similarly, by the time they fought, the Comedian had been getting in fist fights on a weekly basis for something like three or four decades. While Ozymandias was just starting out in his career (not the peak condition we even saw by 1985). So for all his ranting about "I'm the best trained and smartest man alive", the Comedian's just plain real life experience proved a greater threat than he anticipated. That was always Ozy's weakness: not realizing that even the smartest man alive isn't all-knowing.

The comedian isn't psychotic: Hes in touch with reality, understands the consequences of his actions, but don't care who he harms; Hes psychopathic, and doesn't even have a lot of normal human emotions, like regret, or empathy

He was a dark parody of the Joker, one who couldn’t laugh at his own jokes.

The comedian was the only one to ever catch Moloch and to put that in perspective Moloch escaped from Dr Manhattan in the books, that's how incredible the character is supposed to be in the books

The comedian was a horrible person but I can't help but have a soft spot for his realness. He definitely has some guilt considering he asked for forgiveness before his untimely decease.

The comedian was smart enough to know that life is a joke

He was 16 when he became the comedian, and in the watchmen movie he was in his 20’s when he became the comedian, that’s why he looks a lot older than his comic counterpart

Maybe make a short combined one on Silk Spectre II and Nite Owl II? I mean, they're the surviving characters and the graphic novel at least implies that just as the Crimebusters were the "Silver Age" heroes in their universe, they'll restart a new generation of "Bronze Age" heroes. I guess a through-line could also be the fact that they're BOTH "Legacy characters", how comics do that with multiple characters taking up the same mantle. That she didn't want to be the new Silk Spectre, while in contrast he

Plotwise, switching from an alien squid to Dr. Manhattan makes far more sense.

Probably not the best thing to say but the comedian was my favorite character right next to rorsach obviously not a fan of a few things the character did, however the way he saw the world around him as well as his philosophy was very interesting plus Jeffrey dean morgan had an amazing performance
