in reference to the "overly complicated bars" opinions, I feel like Em knows that there is a part of his fanbase that live for those bars and peeling back the layers, and picking up on all the subtle nods and references and double/triple/quadruple entendres and appreciating the skill it takes to make it all flow the way he does. He will even sometimes turn right around in the next line and break it down for those he knows wont catch it.

He goes after anyone who gets ultra butt hurt over an initial reference. He’s always done that. If you respond, he doubles down. Caitlin publicly cried on TV years ago and tried to cancel Eminem for a quick mention. Plus he wanted to bring up the trans topic and needed a jump off point. Also Eminem’s middle name is Bruce after his dad and was going to be called that until his dad left when he was two months old - and Bruce was Caitlin’s birth name. They were both named Bruce and ‘changed their names’ to shed an old identity they no longer wanted to be tied to. AND it works on the level of him being in the generation that for 50 years or however many years they watched Bruce Jenner win Olympic medals in men’s events and cheered him (when Bruce) on. He (Bruce) was on Wheaties boxes and in commercials as Bruce and then around the age that Eminem is right now came out as trans and changed her name to Caitlin. Confusing asf to even type all that so I can only imagine Gen X being confused asf too.

I was with you up until the end. The album is genius. It’s a literal time capsule. I can’t adequately express the nostalgia I felt listening to Brand New Dance. Then, Shady’s comment on Guilty Conscience 2 hits you like a truck. Inserting modern day name-drops, events, literally contributes to one of the major themes of the album: time. Not to mention expanding upon the idea of time to explore both its cyclical and fleeting nature. Album of the Year.

Absolute MASTERPIECE I've been waiting for him to go back to Shady. His last few albums haven't been good at all. Every track on this is an absolute BANGER

Coupe de grace. He killed his old self right between the eyes. He's grown up, and this album is him saying that's that this is me now.

Fuel is by far one of ems best bar. The two daughters tracks, with Temporary and the other one with Jelly Roll, made me tear up. I have daughters and that hit home. I’m really enjoying the album, still need more time to dissect.

I think the album concept is pretty good, but some songs just don’t hit. That run of lucifer, antichrist, and fuel is awesome though

True. But that's how it is with every other artist's album. Only a few song breakthrough... Tbh, I wasn't expecting the album to be dope, but it was actually good 3/5.

@@rgmoney14101994 there’s a lot of people these days that just try to make bangers, no concept behind the album. The whole idea of the front half being shady and him slowly being faded out till he’s dead is a beautiful send off to this alter ego we’ve come to love. Was fun to see Ken Kaniff come back too
@rgmoney141019944 ай бұрын
@@mesadrums375 that's something which I really liked, the album was well constructed... And coz of streaming culture, yepp the concept of an album is kinda receding. I don't even remember whn was the last time I went thru an album start to finish. All props to Em for showing new age artist's how it's done ✅

@roachdoggjr46484 ай бұрын
I really dont get the appeal of this album. Its just Em dropping boomer rage bait for 70% of the runtime and redoing concepts and song ideas hes done better in the past, all with nostalgia bait window dressing.
@STARK01814 ай бұрын
Your looking at the album all wrong Eminem is satirising the boomer rage bait. He is satirising slim shady. He's making fun of HIMSELF and the person he used to be. He's also making fun of the people who go into this album wanting Em to attack the "woke culture".
