The whole argument of "Goku could just instant transmission Superman to a red star" is faulty for a number of reasons, but the biggest one to me that you didn't mention was just the idea of Goku wanting to do it in the first place. There is just no way in my mind that Goku would teleport Superman, he's probably greatest sparing partner and someone he can genuinely get along with, to a place that not only makes him weaker and easier to beat, but also deep down feels like an extremely scummy way to win a fight. Even if Goku knew where to put Superman, something tells me he just wouldn't do it out of his own respect.

In early dragonball, kid Goku could move so fast light could not bounce off him and into the retinas of those observing him. Saying Dyspo is the first one to move ftl is hilariously inaccurate. Kid Goku may be ft vision, but not ftl. Raditz being 10-100x faster would make Raditz being ftl likely accurate.

Good video, I would argue Superman gets past Moro pretty easily though. Even before he was refused with new 52 and pre crisis Superman, he was able to fight evenly with Molly, a being who had all magic, emotional energy, divine magic, and Speedforce energy throughout all of time and throughout the entire outerverse all stacked on top of each other. Even if we ignore that, Superman’s natural abilities counter Moro as Moro absorbs the energy of people who are on the planet he’s on while Superman would always just replenish himself through the sun’s light.

Both you and your opponent are at similar speeds, meaning you'd be relative to each other. This is self explanatory. Same for your argument against long range attacks, as once characters get strong enough it's obvious that their long range attacks would also be ftl. Second, you're arguing realism for an unrealistic anime filled with planet busting aliens, magic, gods, and other things. Not to mention the time Goku went to the moon without oxygen and was fine. And even then, your claim of "nothing is realistically faster than light" is already debunked by the expansion of the universe itself, as that's ftl. Also keep in mind, the ordinary people within the series have completely lost sight of the fighters when watching a fight. I'm going to be writing this comment while I am watching the video, just stating my thoughts as the come. I haven't actually started at this point, but my first thought is; which version of Superman are we talking about? There are a lot of different versions, and their power scaling is vastly different. But maybe that will be addressed. Here we go. Well, 1 minute in, and my first thought was indeed addressed. Well done. No qualms here. Its actually kind of refreshing for that someone actually addresses that point. Sure, Dispo is the only character to be explicitly stated to be faster than light (short of the dub error about Raditz). However, DB characters have had FTL feats since the red ribbon army saga. Goku's mental capacity is being underestimated here. At least, as far as battle IQ. Remember, Goku fought Hit, who was able to enter time skip for .1 seconds, and was able to counter everything Hit did in that time. That doesn't sound like a lot, however, even with the low ball for DB speed where Dispo is the only light speed character (which is ridiculous, but I won't dwell on that.), we are still talking about characters that are hitting massively super sonic speeds. Essentially, imagine if an average human, in .2 seconds, was capable of predicting, and countering every move that his opponent made in a couple of years worth of stopped time. That is a low ball for what Goku did in that moment. As far as general intelligence, Goku is pretty incompetent, however as far as battle IQ, Goku is a genius among geniuses (even if Super does try constantly to undermine that point.). This is a weird one for these posts (usually I'm talking about how the Dragon Ball portion is being downplayed.). There technically would be an argument for Superman not being absorbed by Buu. His cells do produce, essentially a barrier around his body using the absorbed radiation from the sun. Obviously not all barriers are created equal, so there is the argument that it wouldn't stop him from being absorbed, as Vegeto created the barrier specifically for that purpose, while Superman's is just a generalized thing. However, it is technically an argument. As far as Superman's placement, that is a hard one for me to discuss, because I'm not 100% familiar with the cut off points for the different versions of Superman. From my, very admittedly, minimal knowledge of where the cut off point for original Superman lies, I would put him around android to Cell saga (if you take Dragon Ball cosmology into consideration.), and Buu saga if you take just the anime/manga material. On a side not, a pretty funny point is that Goku from original Dragon Ball would actually have a really solid chance of beating Superman, due to the fact that he uses the power pole, which is in fact magical, and therefore would bypass most of Superman's defensive abilities. Also, it would be pretty funny to see Superman fly in to save the day from a group of thugs, and be thanked by a bystander who asks to shake the hand of the hero, only to have that bystander actually be boss rabbit. The power to break galaxies, and all the random butt pull super powers you can think of, gets reduced to a carrot, because of his PR.

So basically everything after Crisis on Infinite Earths(1986) til present day on Earth 0 is canon if it doesn’t have contradictions. Pre-Crisis Superman/ Bronze-Age/ Silver-Age is still Earth 1, Golden-Age is still Earth 2, SPOM is from Earth-1 million, All-Star is from Earth-Q, Kingdom Come is Earth-22, etc. The multiverse still exists.

The thing about Superman, is that his mainline comic versions are generally some of the most broken incarnations of him ever. Especially nowadays after they had a whole arc revolving around someone called The World Forger, whom is the creator of the DC verse. That said, if we are literally using THE OG Superman that spawned from the Golden Age instead of the infinitely retconned amalgam we got today.... It does seem fair to put him below Gohan Beast in terms of raw power. He probably could beat Moro in a similar matter that Goku did: Abusing his speed advantages, whilst hitting him with everything he got before his power is fully drained. Reason to think that Golden Age Superman can pull it off, is because it's not the first time he has been in battle with a crazy strong foe, whilst getting constantly nerfed by something. Not even something like throwing an Island of Kryptonite at him, or crashing him into a red sun will nerf him fast enough to keep GA Superman from fighting hard.

I know Super tries to boast Dyspo’s FTL speeds as something special, but it’s a massive outlier. Goku has been doing FTL feats since DB. I could cite plenty. Frieza’s very evidently multi-solar system level in the Namek saga, as seen by the explosion covering a portion of the galaxy. Universal if you go by the narrative statements on his second form. Cell is also an iffy debate imo. He’d have Superman’s cells and his data. Combining Kryptonian and Saiyan cells would make him one hell of an opponent, and with his data on Superman, he’d be the most likely to teleport him to a red sun. This is where I 100% think Superman would get stopped in his tracks if Frieza couldn’t finish the job. If we break the story and don’t give Cell any data, then between Dabura, Babidi, and Buu, this would be a nightmare for Superman. Superman enters Babidi’s ship and has to fight Dabura, meanwhile nothing’s stopping Babidi from shifting the environment to a red sun, where he’d be nerfed, spat on, and turned to stone through Dabura’s magic. Babidi’s mind control is also magically based, making Superman vulnerable to it. Superman's already been mind controlled through non-magical means on several occasions. No matter how I slice it, Superman isn't getting through Z imo.

Superman could get pretty far, but we cannot overlook the weaknesses that a lot of characters could take advantage of. For example in some comic called (The Question), somebody concluded that Ki/Chi could harm Superman. It wouldn't be like Kryptonite, but more like magic, Superman is just as vulnerable towards it as anybody else. Superman could learn ki control, and overcome that weakness, by learning things like spirit fission, and other techniques, but there are other weaknesses the DB characters could exploit. 1. Superman Doesn't Have A Resistance To Telepathy, which is a power that seems to be something anybody with ki can use. While Superman has acquired some psychic defenses in the past, Kal-El possesses no innate resistance against psionic attacks. Superman is vulnerable to telepathy, and those with the ability to control the mind would have an easy time dismantling the Kryptonian. He's fallen under the control of villains like Queen Bee in the New 52, though there are other examples. During Superman's battle with the Psycho-Pirate, his Medusa Mask was able to penetrate Superman's mind and wreak havoc. Maxwell Lord betrayed the Justice League when he took over Superman's mind and used the Man of Steel to attack the League. Superman was only stopped because Wonder Woman killed Max Lord by snapping his neck. 2. Magic Is One Of Superman's Greatest Weaknesses. For all of his defenses, powers, and perfections, Superman is just as vulnerable to magic as any other non-mystical character, but all of the magic users in DB have one-shot winning abilities. 3. Intense Electricity Can Stop Superman In His Tracks. Just like magic, Superman is also weak against electricity. This weakness seems a little odd considering he can withstand immense heat and explosive forces. Nonetheless, electricity brings the Last Son of Krypton to his knees, giving his enemies a chance to strike in a more devastating way while he's staggered. Planet Namek's distance is 48 light years away from Earth(available on Google). Goku's ship travels the distance in 6 days (whose speed can be tracked by King kai) and later during the fight against Frieza King Kai isn't capable of taking Goku's speed. Trying to make sense of Superman's power is pretty futile... The ORIGINAL version couldn't even fly, he just jumped to where ever he wanted to go. Other versions had him literally exiting the multiverse and fighting things that treated a multiverse like a toy. Or taking over for a version of Atlas that carried the UNIVERSE instead of the planet for a while. So yeah, anywhere from saiyan saga (the first couple of comics, superman DEFINITELY was not a planet buster), up to somewhere in Super or further (have not watched super, so I can't truly say how strong things get there.)

Howdy. I mostly agree with the video but everyone being amazed that Dyspo is faster than light is due to bad translation work. Dragon Ball characters surpased light speed much earlier in the series. Depending on how you interperate certain feats it was either in the 22nd Strongest Under the Heavens Tournament or during the Saiyan saga. The line about Raditz being faster than light is filler but it's also consistant with the rest of the series. If we look at Dragon Ball Super, we see more than once that Beerus and Whis can casually travel across universe 7, with just their speed, in a matter of minutes. Even if we low ball that feat, their still at least billions of times faster than light. Goku in one instance is shown to catch up to them, while still in his base form. So full power Goku is at least trillions and likely quadrilions of times faster than light. If we really want to hype up Goku, we could say that being able to move during Hit's time skip ability makes him immeasurably fast. We could also point out that when he first became a super saiyan god, he almost accidently destroyed universe 7 and has since become millions of times more powerful than that.

I think that the Dragonball characters don't have the physical durability or strength to go toe to toe with Superman, but they have higher power output. They would have an entertaining friendly spar, but a bloodlusted Superman could blitz and punch a hole through Goku, and that would be that. Superman could tank any blast that Goku could output, so Goku's only method of victory would be wearing Superman down, and he is fast enough to do so. But that requires Goku to make absolutely no mistakes or he's toast. Goku doesn't stand a chance against Superman until Ultra Instinct. In fact, I think Jiren is a great example of what Superman would look like in the Dragonball Universe (although still somewhat less powerful).

I ascribe to the psychic superman/kryptonians theory so Kal-El's ki and thus actual physical strength would be a battle power of 5 or 10 so just in this scenario goku wouldn't even sense Clark as a strong person and would likely ignore him p.s. The problems that arise in goku vs superman are the same that arise in batman vs superman or omniman vs homelander. homelander and superman are larger than life in their perspective worlds, so the idea that they can be beaten makes no sense. it matters not that they have been beaten, they walk around as the cock of the walk. every defeat they have can be explained away with "well he was holding back" or "it wasn't batman it was green arrow!!" or "the red sun nuke was in his eyes!!".... ok so superman got defeated by an old man with one arm and no powers... think superman stans think! but to use my other example of homelander vs omniman. people believe homelander will always win because he's constantly treated with fear... but if you truly understand what omniman is capable of, its not a question. like he could just ignite the atmosphere then fly away. goku's fight vs kid buu took place beyond this mortal coil right next to the resting place for all good souls. supreme kais planet is right next to their universes actual heaven. you cant convince superman stans of anything, they literally worship superman, they refer to him as god. It depends on which version ofc but of we used superboy prime for example (he one of the most popular ones), so I'll explain why he beats dragon ball. So there's this character called the anti monitor and his mission was to wipe out the dc multiverse and during his mission he wiped out a nearly infant amount of universes, wiped out earth prime and killed super girl and what this shows is that super boy prime was comparable to pre crisis super heros even tho he was inexperienced, also so he did take some attacks from anti monitor. A feat from super boy prime, he was able to escape a dimensional shell by punching by doing that he made retcons and rewrite happen all throught the dc mulltiverse and what's crazy about it is that he had no access to a yellow sun for ages as its implies so he did it a weaken state. Also super boy prime was able to re shift the universe before the guardiens even noticed and that's impressive because there more powerful than green who can react at quintillion of times the speed of light. He also then goes on to 1 vs the titans, doom patrol and the justice society which he ends up accidentally killing some of them because he so much stronger so what they did was trapped him in the phantom zone which has no time or space plus you don't have a physical form, and yet he punched his way out of it, he used a physical attacked to get out... Also he was able to keep up with the flash family and it was stated that none of them could catch up to him do what they had to do is give there speed force to Bart Allen and only then he could catch up. When they caught up they trapped him in the speed force which did hold him but eventually he was able to break out.

The thing is, if you take the Dragon Ball cosmology into consideration (which you should, if you are using the "he fought characters who are beyond space and time" concept seriously.), then current DB characters would still pretty casually handle that level of power. Goku nearly took out the macrocosm on accident in the first arc of Super, before absorbing that power into his base form. On first glance, that isn't impressive by comparison. However, Heaven is the third smallest realm in the macrocosm, with 4 realms that are larger, each by transcendental amounts from the last. This is important because Diazenshuu (which is a canon guidebook for Dragon Ball) tells us that Heaven transcends dimensions in general.

It really depends on which version of Superman you are talking about. He specifically said he was going off the original run of Superman, which is far more grounded (relatively speaking. He absolutely has crazy feats of strength, and they gave him random new super powers every other issue, but he isn't at the level that some of these other versions are.). But again, this is all very relative, as Dragon Ball power scaling is much higher than most people give it credit for.
