Street Fighter 6 is a 2023 fighting game developed and published by Capcom. Announced in February 2022, it is the seventh main entry in the Street Fighter franchise, and was released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows and Xbox Series X/S on June 2, 2023, while an arcade version, named Street Fighter 6 Type Arcade, was published by Taito for Japanese arcade cabinets on December 14, 2023. Additionally, a prequel comic book series was unveiled in September 2022 featuring many legacy Characters like Cammy, Chun Li and Juri.

I always struggled against gief/lily/manon/jamie and I never looked at mu charts for cammy really, and tbh it’s nice being vindicated a bit in my struggle lol

Yes. The grappelers are difficult to play against because you have to adjust your entire game plan. It takes patience, and I'm impatient.

​@@baldbishop1667 Because Jamie outranges her. Same with all the other hard matchups. She has no projectiles to outrange them, she has to beat them in neutral, and that's very hard if she gets out ranged. I discovered ways to get around this, but that's advanced tech. Basically comes down to getting better at neutral and footsies.

I'm actually thinking the Guile match up is terrible now. His normals stuff her dive kicks and it's very hard to get him off of her. Honda is also awful. His standing strong eats everything she does including dive kicks. Very difficult to open him up.

u can also do the side switch like normal except instead of going for the dive kick, just do the quick drop which gives u plenty of oki as well

lol shes never been top 5. Maybe like 10th...which is around where shes always been. I agree that shes still plenty viable tho. But her damage output just keeps her low. Hard not to burn out with her. I feel like Cammy played by pro players and by everyone else is 2 different tiers. Shes only a really strong character if you have absolute phenomenal reactions and punishes, to the level most ppl, even pretty good players, do not

Sorry but Cammy sucks now. Somehow I feel like there was a few more hidden nerfs or something. She just feels off. The parry nerf and damage nerf also made her worse. The heavy spin knuckle distance is shorter, I’m convinced bevuase I keep whiffing it and I’m 99% sure I never did. Maining Akuma now No point in suffering

Youre literally fucking wild if you dont think Cammy is still a top 5 character. She probably has the best set of normals in the entire game now after Lukes nerfs to his crmp and stmk. Nothing on her normals got touched at all hitbox wise and her most important tools stayed perfectly intact So you cant spin knuckle anymore. Block, Perfect Parry to DR, jump and make a read. Not hard. Oh, you cant side switch anymore out of corner? Wow, as if your character isnt privilged with literally having TWO ex moves to side switch on a guess on wakeup, or as a hit confirm w ex spiral arrow. Your character also SHITS on anyone without a dp as ex dive is a free in on characters like Manon, Marisa, Rashid, Sim, Jp, to force a guess instantly or mixing between that and DR. Your jab is arguably the best in the game Your crmk is a top 3 in the game probably behind Ken, and MAYBE juri/akumas. Your level 3 is full screen and THAT ALONE is anti projectile and arguably a top level 3 in the game as well next to JP and Luke. Your anti air normal allows for side switch with no one else can do but Kim. Cammy can do whatever she wants whenever she wants and has incredibly space control with her walk speed and S tier neutral game.

You're right, but cammy players can't seem to admit that for some reason. I don't know what it is about them but it doesn't seem like intentional ironic downplaying as we see with Ken and JP players - I actually think Cammy players really don't realize they're playing an incredible strong top tier character. It's a phenomenon that needs to be studied.
