Oh it is very useful. So early to get zubat cuz its zubat. Only hard part is evolving zubat to goblet but after that it is really easy. And friendship is one of the easiest way to lvl up a pokemon. Also he was on some best teams so I don't think he should make a video with pokemon's that were on best teams. Let's see other underrated pokemon.

Yeah. It takes a bit. I used one on Soulsilver. I only had it going into the second half of the game essentially. I loved Kingdra, but he really was a wait. I had a physical build myself.

I love Kingdra. I used one extensively in post-game White, and then I just used one in Platinum. In Sinnoh, the only real challenge for my Kingdra was Cynthia's Garchomp. (Who wouldn't be challenged by Garchomp in Gen 4?).

Even though I love watching "How good was Pokémon actually" on FSG, this video makes more sense to me to watch seeing how I don't go to any tournaments but do spend all of my time playing the campaign and trying to figure out if catching certain Pokémon are worth the effort I hope that this becomes a series and that you invite FSG for all the up coming vodeos

I hope this series is a huge success! Apart from telling us about important battles and easy access movepool, you can also focus on how much spammable (perfect accuracy and medium/high pp) attacks each pokemon have so that so can train or clean trainers/routes with them. In the case of Kingdra, Surf with 15 pp is pretty neat and if you feel it is a bit to low you can uppgrade it to 18 and up to 24, while also having ice beam as decent coverage. Maybe for other pokemon it is pretty more difficult so training or cleaning routes may be a bit more problematic (it may happen with alakazam for example, with 10 pp psychic and low accuracy focus blast as coverage). Probably this thing is only relevant for the first 4 generations but still i find it very important. Great video!

Yup I used Kingdra in a Randomized Emerald Nuzlocke and it was incredibly disappointing to use. He may have been with me from start to finish but he just didn't output damage like I had expected. Good analysis and personally I'd like to see Zangoose.

Love the idea of this series! If I may leave one suggestion, I'd REALLY like to see some kind of "pre-evolution progression" segment. Not in the sense of games where you don't have access to the one being discussed (like FRLG or LG here), but in the sense of the ones where it IS available and you can get it's pre-evolutions earlier. I guess another way to say it would be to factor in how useful the pre-evo forms are in the period between obtaining it and it evolving into the final stage as part of that Pokemon's overall PvE viability. For an example, I've been doing mono-type themed teams for some SwSh playthroughs lately and just got done with a Flying-type team. I had a spread of Pokemon selected before starting that I would work towards over the playthrough, hunting them down as soon as they became available to use for the final team. For this Flying-type team I had two selections that ended up being much more difficult to use than I expected in Mandibuzz and Noivern. Not because they themselves are bad in and of themselves, but because they evolve at such high levels that you end up taking pre-evo forms like Vullaby and Noibat into the latter half of mid game or even early stages of late game where they really have a hard time keeping up. Once they actually managed to evolve, both Mandibuzz and Noivern became some of the most useful staples of my team through the last two gyms, Elite Four, and post-game story (meaning I got more than enough use out of them to say that they are good PvE choices) but there were some ROUGH spots in the mid game getting to that point. So while I would say both of those are actually quite good in PvE, that "pre-evolution progression" period hurts their overall usefulness over the course of the game as a whole. Wouldn't have to be that in-depth, but just a mention of "If you plan to use this thing over the course of a whole playthrough that fact that it's stuck as a Shelgon until you're practically already at the Elite Four kind of adds to the challenge."

I would love a miltank video Nobody talks about my girl, but she carried my whole team in johto, you can get it pretty early, and her ability allowed her to use normal attacks against ghost types, which made my way through the ghost gym She can also heal the party off battle, which was super handful on caves Plus a descent status, she was a beast

I like the idea for this series and I feel it's significantly different from FSG's series as competitive is very different than playthrough. I was learning this when I traded over a Deino to a game for a playthough. Hydreigon is great, but takes so long to evolve that for a good chunk of the game I was still using a first stage pokemon with not great stats.

I think it’s worth noting that in neutral matchups, there are few Pokémon that resist both water and dragon. So in a casual play, it can do a lot more. And it has a good amount of resists as well.
