Heracross is actually pretty viable for the Morty fight in hgss. I was able to teach it shadow claw (forgot where I got the TM, but it is available), and I swept Morty’s entire team with him

X4 weakness to Electric no good against electric type gyms. The only thing is Mega Evolution it's a pushover as I grew older. Oh and it's the first shiny in Generation 2 and 4. Average if you are careful. Intimate is okay ability.

You can teach heracross shadow claw in HGSS. You get the TM east side of ecruteak city near mt mortar. It's a ghost type physical move with a slightly lower base power than night slash but with a high crit chance. With it heracross can obliterate Morty

heracross will do fine vs cofagrigus with psychic what???? and btw heracross doesnt do to bad vs lucarion even if it has psychic cause it can prob live a hit and kill it with STAB, furthermore slower psychics still get fucked by bug STAB that is still also super effective back. you missed ALOT of good points here. most clear btw vs cynthia heracross is bad vs rosarade btw vs 2nd gym its great... inconsitities and plainly bad
