This is when 'load management' would've been very a career saver. I love the MJ mentality of playing each game because there's one kid who was looking forward to seeing you play. But teams should be smart enough to rest their key players in the 2nd half of the games if the playoffs are in sight for them. Especially if they are primed to compete for the championship.

Two of them are minor though, and he returned in about 2-3 weeks. The major ones was the ACL (2012) and Meniscus (2013). Yes I concur with your assertion about D.Rose not being able to be in a team that will unhesitatingly render him the opportunity to rise in recent years. But we know that didn’t occur due to the immutable of criticism from the media that sort of muzzled the whole process of him being able to recuperate, corroborate and redeem himself from all of his misfortunes. As a result, Rose had spent quiet a lot of time outside of the league and he even considered hanging up his shoes.

Derrick Rose wasn’t in his prime at 22. Yeah he is was a mvp at 22. But that wasn’t his prime. Basketball players don’t reach their prime until their mid 20’s to early thirties. So basically basketball players don’t reach their prime until age 25 to age 33. It would be scary to imagine what Rose would’ve been around that age 25 to 33.

Man basketball was always my 1st love but sadly I wasn’t watching or into the NBA around this time… so…. I never really got to experience the whole D.Rose rise or fall… & that bothers me till this day… bcuz he’s my type of player… small, all heart, speedy & crafty…. But to add crazy hops & posterizing… man I wish I tuned in. But man, it’s sad that he never got to play his FULL potential… prob be a great

Every kids at my age in Mongolia amazed how he played. Notebook with his picture was sold many times and Bulls jersey written Rose in the back was the coolest jersey. (Probably Kobe or LeBron’s were more famous) Thats few examples how amazing he was.

True not considered a prime but a true Chicago Bulls legend If he never got hurt and stayed healthy oh my God he would’ve won championships eventually and that MVP is impressive for his second year I think he is one of the most underrated NBA players

I love Derrick Rose. I’m from Chicago and it was heartbreaking seeing his downfall due to injury. One correction at the end, though. Russell Westbrook was more athletic than Rose at their respective peaks. It wasn’t by a lot, but Westbrook was an absolute freak athlete and easily the most athletic point guard ever.
