I get why the movie embellished their robes with their houses. Though not described in the book it really helps the viewer keep track of which house characters are in without telling and I think it helps the viewer subconsciously make an association of the character to their respective house as we get to know them. I do like that you went with a standard set of robes and the British school uniform concept though!

I think they did well. Since you cannot do a live action version character on point how they are in a book. Especially with young actors (you cannot say a growing child to lose a certain amount of weight to have malnutrition....) and at that time post-production was not that far then it is now. Yeah, I have unkept curly hair. It's when you try to brush it that it turns into a frizzy mane. When you just leave it then it has nice curls. Hermione actually probably brushed her hair to make it nice - not knowing that's probably what made it such a mess. (At least in my experience.)

With Hermione's school uniform the only thing off about it to me is that the skirt may be too short. This is the Wizarding world, one of the biggest things about it is that the entire style of it is very olden times (thanks to people who actually lived through those times still being alive and quite powerful politically), so I'd think that school uniforms especially Female school uniforms would be trying to cover up as much skin as possible so having a skirt that doesn't even cover the knees just seems a bit off to me for some reason.

One little thing I remember about Hermonie’s teeth from the fourth book is that a little before the Yule Ball started, Harry and his friends got in another fight with Draco Malfoy, and spells were cast around. One hit Hermonie that caused her front teeth to grow even larger than they were, and she went away to the nurse. While there, they used a spell to shrink her teeth, and they were only going to put them back to the way they were, but because the ball was soon and Hermonie wanted to look her absolute best, she had the nurse shrink her teeth to a very normal and straight size. Just a bit of book details!

Most book pages have lines upon lines of dialogue/actions happening, but comics can usually summarize it in a few panels. For example, you could have a page in the book where two characters are having a conversation that lasts around 2 pages. A comic could simplify the conversation to only a few panels through word bubbles.

In the Yule Ball scene, Hermione is described as somehow much more tall and elegant because of an absence of 15000 books in a bag slung over her shoulder! When you drew her, she looked quite hunched (I think because the back of the dress stuck out). But don't get me wrong, I loved the drawings!

I think your criticisms of the movies' casting are valid, but I think it should be kept in mind that pretty much all the main cast were casted when they were kids. Dan, Emma, & Rupert were all 10 or 11 when they were first cast, so there was no way to know what sort of physical build they would have as they grew (ex: Rupert not becoming tall & lanky). Also, Dan couldn't wear colored contacts to make his eyes green b/c he's allergic to them. That being said, I think all the points you made about how they are described in the books are right, and I think your interpretations of how they "should have" looked are very nice & pretty accurate. :)

I was the most disappointed look-wise at Hermione. her hair looked more accurate in the first two films but from then on she was just normal. Honestly im still so disappointed about hermione in the movie. I have her hair texture. frizzy, poofy and curly. Its big and sometimes hard to control. I loved that hermione had my hair texture because girls in tv always have perfect, sleek hair and i always end up feeling bad. honestly I think Percy Jackson needs one! I watched the first movie and saw many things wrong ans I can't tell if the others had wrong desfins but grovers really. didn't follow the book.

weird artist_person Nothing in the movie was correct. Everyone were too old, Percy's hair was too short and eyes were blue, not green, and he was too confident, Annabeth was a blue-eyed brunette meangirl, not beach blonde, grey-eyed, scary wargame intellectual. Grover was basically just a comic relief sidekick in the movie, and stripped off of all his traits. He was supposed to look like a bearded, pimpled teenager, with curls and a reggae-style hat, he cried easily and was banned from PE because he was disabled. (Described to walk funny) He would have seemed to be behind in mental development, but not really stupid like in the movie, just acted younger than he looked. The Camp Halfblood looks all wrong in the movie too. The cabins are nowhere to be seen, and the demigods wear leather armors instead of medal. Khiron's horse body is the wrong colour, even though it's fully animated and could be any colour they wanted. Luke's personality was all wrong too. It has been many years since I watched the movie, and probably the gods and plot were all off too, but this is from the top of my head...

Rääpynä yeah they made hades the bad guy like everybody else does. It so sad and they didnt even mention Ares so the big fight scene was completely missed which was imho one of the best parts. I could write paragraphs upon paragraphs of the things they should have had.

The actor that played Harry in the movies was allergic to contact lenses so that’s why his eyes are blue and the actress who played Hermione couldn’t talk clearly with buck teeth but besides that I love the video. ❤️
