Your kip lache forms are so much better than reg swings imo xP

Hi! I really enjoy this kind of video. It's nice to see you working towards your goals, I find the process very relatable :) You are also very humble; those laches are huge and being able to grab the rim at your height would be amazing.

When you want to dunk off one foot, you need more elasticity in your tendons than muscle power. Also the best of the best don't block with their heel into the ground when jumping off one foot, they go straight to the forefoot and use their soleus and achilles more. Additionally, they always keep pulling the ground with their hamstrings. +please practice both Sides when practicing vertical jumps. 🙏🙏

Indeed! Elasticity is key. I see! Heels would allow for a longer stride thus technically better blocking - obviously I do see that this is a lot more impactful, so yes I do feel forefoot is the way to go!

i’m sure you will be able to grab the rim soon! and btw, 1 foot jumping is actually easier to reach higher!!! i’m 168 and i can dunk a football into a regulation 10 foot hoop, i jump with one leg, and my vert is around 38 inches to 40.

Wow I definitely find it harder to get more height off one leg! I guess it really depends how much you train one leg jumps or two leg jumps! Impressive stuff

I train both parkour and vertical jump and last time i measured i could only reach 295cm, which is 10 cm off the rim, it's different from parkour, so hard..

Definetely think touching the rim is possible for you quite easily! It looks like you just need to Block more with your last step in your running jump , almost as though you're pointing it to the side. Better running jump technique and its there. Looks like right now your tech is very 'box jump-y', but running jumps use the blocking much more as opposed to the flexibility of the hips You can see this as your standing vert is close to the same height as your running vert, at least it seemed that way when you were grapping the bar by the bb hoop

Yes honestly my technique needs work! It's actually my first time analyzing my own technique in slomo and I do realize how I'm very 'box-jumpy' like you said. And yes my standing and running vert is way too close... Cheers for the tips!
