Since ideologically this threatens the Sunnite Arab majority, it is quite obvious that the real tension in the region is between Iran versus a possible coalition of Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Israel can get along with Iran, an a small enclave on the shores of the Mediterranean, fulfilling the very strong bond between the two nations, based on a cultural affinity that has begun in antiquity.
