Thank you for this video! I’m a Aveda student and we barely touch the humectants the only thing we use the humectant for is as barrier cream so, i was curious as to what these products are for, i had a curly haired client in my chair and i remembered this video so i told her i wanted to try something new, she has trouble with frizz so I mixed the anti humectant and the re texturizing gel some be curly curl enchancer and style prep and her curls were beautiful and bouncy! She told me she’s never had her curls looking the way it did yesterday so thank you i will be using these more often 💜

I live in New Orleans and can say that the anti-humectant pomade works wonders. The jar lasted a long time too. But I wonder if I wasn't getting the full benefit of it because of how I applied it. I would rub it into my hair and hands prior to unraveling my hair for a braid or twist out (like how many people put oil on their hands to unravel braids or twists). I never thought to set my hair with the pomade. I'm gonna try that when I can buy another jar.

Yup! The right products really make a difference here. It also got easier as my hair got longer and I could pineapple it at night. Sometimes just being up in a pineapple all night helps smooth out frizz from a really humid day.

Ok soooo.... i went n purchased the anti humectant and the gel since i also live in NYC and spend a decent amount of time outdoors and baybeeehhhhh!!! These products are so dope! The claims are so true! My hair feels soft, defined and it looks sooooo good! Lol i did a flat twistout and omg! THANK YOU MO 😗!!Sat under my hooded dryer n evrything. I'm in Atlanta and I can definitely relate to this question. I also lived near New Orleans and sure wish I'd had a product like this when I was there. I truly hope it helps.

Look into Living Proof products. I used to use silicons which worked really well against humidity but they were causing build up. LP products, while mad expensive (lord have mercy) have a molecule called OFPMA (I think) that's supposed to be about 70% more effective in resisting humidity than silicones. Oh yeah... and I live in Atlanta too! Lol I just switched over about 2 weeks ago loving it so far!! I use the restore + no frizz line.

Lol my name is Angela too, and I had a few questions about humectants also 😂 I just found out I have high porosity hair, which explains why my hair frizzes right up IMMEDIATELY AFTER straightening. This was helpful. I'm womdering what I should use during/after straightening for my high porosity hair, so I can at least last an hour with straight hair. If anyone can help, it would be appreciated.
