I didn't start making content with any hopes of doing... well anything with it really. At best I wanted to document my initial experiences as I venture into trying different types of whiskey. As time went by I found myself in the KZbin whiskey community with people actually subscribing and donating to my channels growth. I've been unemployed for over ten years due to my mental illness, and having this outlet and support has really helped me get through this past terrible year. Now I am doing live streams twice a week and making one video every week with multiple bottles and samples to get through thanks to the generous whiskey community. 🖖😎🥃

I found your channel about 2 years ago when I was going through a really rough time. I had a lot of personal/relationship things happening with family, my business had just imploded, and I was in a bad spot emotionally and mentally. Your videos were a respite at the end of a long string of really stressful days. It was just a way for me to disconnect with all the BS going on. So, thank you for showing up. Thank you for doing what you do. It helped me get through it all and for that I’ll always be grateful to you.

Hi Jeremy. I’ve been with you since the early days and am still with you. Not every topic appeals to me but I watch anyway - because I really like your style and perhaps similar to other followers, I feel I’ve really gotten to know you over all this time. You’ve led me to the purchase of some very cool things, which isn’t always easy because being from Canada (Toronto), they cost me 30% more plus (sometimes) taxes and duty. All in all, you are one of my favourites, so thank you for being You and being a positive and entertaining part of my life.

Loved it man. Very inspiring. I've been doing this almost a year now and struggle with the same things. Started as an interest and turned into a passion but I struggle with the direction I want to go and what to make. The struggle is real!

These are great tips! I especially like the one about don't chase money, sponsorship, etc. It's very powerful to be able to pick and choose who one works with. The only equipment I think is really important is whatever gives good audio (even an iPhone corded headset). I can live with subpar video with good audio, but not the other way around. Question: About how many hours a day do you spend editing, filming, etc. and do you miss the social interaction of "going to the office"? Getting to STA at the end of the month....can't wait!

Love your channel man. Interesting to hear how you got where you are. Even if for some reason I was putting in the work to make my channel worth a damn, I'm currently in my 15th year in a career that doesn't exactly lay off. I work for "the man" here in Florida and have a nice retirement package coming my way. I see the end of the road just 10 short years away. I'm still in my early 40's. I'm not much of a risk taker and quitting to go full-time honestly terrifies me. It would have to be the perfect storm. BUT...seeing as how my job sucks the creative juices right out of me, it ain't happening! Oh well, at least I can afford bourbon and cigars.
