I am in sixth grade and I have gotten bullied every year that I have been in school but when I found you in like the fourth grade yes, I already liked reading but, I didn't read much. The bullying got worse and then I found you. I began to read more and more and I was happy! People bullied me even more because they reading was for dorks, but I DID NOT CARE! reading still is my escape and my life. If I never found you....I probably would have been in heavy counciling, and in a depressed mental state, my parents were getting divorced, I moved away from close friends and my life was meaningless....but...then...I found you......my inspiration and my idol. I wish I could meet you in real life....and talk about all things books and millions of other things! I hope you read this and just know...your effort helps so many people and I am one of those people. Have a great day and life. With love, - A fellow book nerd Edit: I garuntee that this comment will never be read but I wanted to say what heart says with everything you do.

Hi Christine! This video being really heartfelt, (I may have cried...just a little bit) I thought this was a good opportunity to leave this message: You were the first booktuber I ever watched. I remember it was a couple of years ago (woah. time flies) before The Blood of Olympus has come out, and this was when I was so obsessed with Percy Jackson and just reading in general. In that year (2014) I read a bunch of books that opened my eyes to reading. Percy Jackson, Divergent, The Maze Runner. But I was mostly obsessed with Percy Jackson. So I heard about the unboxings with the clues and I immediately searched and watched every single video. You were the first one I watched. I remember thinking "wow her lipstick is really pretty" and for some reason your video stuck with me when I finished watching all the others. I came back to your channel and subscribed. I went through your videos and watched them over and over. (More in comments)

Through that I found your second channel, which I adored. I find it so interesting that we shared similar interests. I loved books, but before I was a reader I wanted to be a director. Actually in 3rd grade I established a "theater group" with some other kids in my grade and my best friend and I would write plays for all of us to perform. Also, this is going to sound crazy but not only was I in to videos, plays, and books, but I was also a dancer. I loved your dancing videos as well as your others because I always loved dance. Anyway, through your channel I have become a better reader, and student. Sometimes I'll walk around in bookstores and be like "Oh! Christine recommended that!" Booklion forever! xx

I completed the book before anyone else did and begged my mom for Catching Fire and Mokingjay. The day the movie came out the entire 8th grade class went on a trip to the movie theaters to see it. A couple days after I looked up movie review videos for "The Hunger Games" and immediately subscribed! I've been a fan since 2012 and still am to this day. I've always been a big reader (thanks to harry potter of course) but you showed me a whole different side to reading that I never knew was there. HI! I just wanted to say that even though I was really really late on the band wagon, a couple years ago (year 9) I finally decided to read Harry Potter. I'd enjoyed reading for quite a while before that, and I can really relate to going to a bookshop with my mum and finding one that looked fun and interesting. However, until I started reading Harry Potter I had never discovered that reading was my favourite thing to do. I realised that you could feel like the people you read about weren't just characters on the page, but people who felt you knew the inside and outside of. When I finished the series, I cried, and not just because of the happiness that the characters felt, but because over that time that I went deeper and deeper into the story, the characters became inspirations to me and how friendship and being true to yourself is how to have true happiness. Like you, from that day on I became completely obsessed with reading. Since then I have started watching your videos and they, and you, have opened so many doors to me into the world of reading, and have inspired me to want to be a writer. x love your channel xx

I love seeing people share their love and passion for any desire or dream with others. You inspire me so much to read. Around where I live (small towns) very few people (that I know) enjoy reading, some even think its a punishment and would rather be doing something else. There are a few of us though that love to read and try to inspire others around us to read. I'd have to say that now being in high school that my love of books has come from my parents and my English teachers. Also I am really excited because my school is starting a book bash program where students get together and talk about books and I believe there is an option to review books and go to competitions for those reviews.

Aww, this made me tear up, because it reminded me of my own reading journey. I also started reading HP around 3rd or 4th grade, at the recommendation of my local librarian. Until then I had mostly read my uncles sci fi collection (Asimov, Jules Verne), but HP was my first series and the first world that drew me in completely. I remember re-reading the first 4 books over and over every time I was sick or felt lonely, and then begging my mom to buy me the 5th one once it came out. I basically grew up with this series, I read the last book in high school and watched the last movie at the cinema in college! Wherever I went on life, this story came with. And you're right, it will be great to share it with my own kids one day. Mandatory books in school and the novelty of the Internet put me off reading for a while, but then I picked up Twilight in college and that made me look up book reviews on KZbin. That's how I found you, and I jusy loved how passionate you were about books. You definitely helped rekindle my love for reading Christine! 💜

I began reading the popular books once i found out about online book bloging through this i found ur videos and saw that u can still be u and read. Most people at my school think i am a little obsessed but by watching ur videos that made me feel like i could still follow this passion of mine and go into the book world with open arms and being able to communicate that is amazing. Thank u so much for ur videos and i cant wait to see the future ones

Oh MY GOd 😱. Okay, I never comment on videos, not ever, but I've also NEVER related to a video more in my life. I'm making this an exception so I can rightfully thank you in a way that a 'like' wouldn't. I found your videos a freakishly long time ago and I honest to god can't remember how, however I can assure you they changed me in ways I would never have imagined. Reading has always amazed me but it was your crazy, honest, relatable and truthful reviews that kept me going all this years. You presented me to millions of different books/series/communities, encouraged me (even if not directly) to get out of my comfort zone and specially, played a big part on me getting to know the american/british part of youtube and gave me a reason to try and read books in english (I'm brazilian 🤗). Books, their characters and their fandoms completely molded the person I'm today, and resulted on my firsts contacts with all types of social media (and the best/creepiest part of the internet) and I would really like to thank you for all of this 😊. Your videos never fail in making me smile (even my mom knows about you, granted, she calls you the pretty book being that screams way to much, but still 😀), so thank you for that too. Anyhow, this is beginning to get a bit to long, kisses and love from another bookworm 😘, hope you're doing great.

Oh my god when I saw you cry I wanted to reach through the screen and hug you!!! I feel you SO HARD on everything you said in this video. I started reading at about eight years old and everyone, even my own dad made fun of me and it made me feel weird because no one else around me understood how amazing and wonderful books and stories can be. I want to end that whole thing, reading IS NOT WEIRD OR STUPID!!! Reading is special and amazing, it encourages imagination which so many people lack nowadays and that honestly breaks my heart. I love your videos Christine, the first video I saw of you was your book talk on Clockwork Prince and you made me laugh and smile so much I had to subscribe. God bless!!!! Xoxoxox AND KEEP READING READERS!!!

Harry Potter was also the first series I fell in love with. From there, I read Twilight and was introduced to the world of YA. At the end of 2014, I discovered Kat's channel, and in one of her videos, she needed a recommendation from a friend, and she called your name out, and you said Slammed by Colleen Hoover. I then found your channel and feel in love with reading even more. Thank you for that❤️
