It is a lie that makes a person crazy/sick. - Martha Beck

``I`ve always known I was trans, ever since I was a little kid!``, Ok.... why did you lie to her then? Why did you scam a woman out of years of her life? Why did you take her money and take advantage of her unpaid labour to subsidize your lifestyle, while lying to her face about wanting to be life partners? Why did you steal her time? No one forces males to be in relationships, it`s not like women who are socially pressured to get into relationships so harshly. It is perfectly acceptable for men to be bachelors later into life. There is something so deeply parasitic and manipulative about this all.

Shannon's husband had many other issues before deciding he was transgender. I have a friend who had a similar experience. I suspect that my friend's husband (she also wrote a book, no longer published) and I feel both of these men were sociopaths.

@monicaperez2843 there's no such thing as transgender. It's ALL behavioural. Whether rooted in trauma or an unhealthy obsession and warped, sexist views of the opposite sex. Simple as that.

Maybe we should make sure people find out they're trans earlier in life, so when people marry, they know what they're getting into? My partner for 20 and wife for 14 years knew beforehand I was trans, and would eventually transition. We still love and support each other.

If you people didn't make transpeople hide, they'd end up with someone who truly loves and accepts them for who they are. If you want somebody to blame Shannon, blame yourself and other people like you, that make them have to hide in the first place.
@karengerecht50576 ай бұрын
@TiLoRaine Oh fu ck off. No-one is making trans people hide. They're celebrated, they're a protected class, they cannot be criticized. I think that's what's behind so many people suddenly deciding they were born in the wrong body. They want the cachet and privilege that comes with being "special". Shannon had a "bait and switch" pulled on her. That's extremely vile.

And yet the TERFs just can't join the dots. Neo pronouns, gender is not sex, oppression is the cause of disateisfaction, sex is nothing to do with reproduction. It's all sadly familiar. I refer friends to Mary Harrington as much as I can, but being past child bearing age it's not welcome news for childless menopausal women who spent their lives blaming men for everything.

That’s not what that statistic means. 50% of US marriages result in divorce. Out of those divorces 70-80% are initiated by women. It doesn’t mean 80% of marriages end in divorce.

@XA1985 The relevant information is not the percentage that filed for divorce, but the reasons why they filed for divorce...and not all divorce paperwork will accurately reflect the actual reasons why, because it is public, and not everyone wants the painful events that led to the divorce to be public, seen by family, friends, neighbours, and particularly their children.
