As a tech, I worked on many of these as no serviced the diff, but mostly turn ups and rebuilding carbs. Yes, I does take an acre to make a “U” turn. 4 people could sleep comfortably, same with a 1965 Chrysler Fury III four door. A buddy of mine destroyed that car after he wanted to barrow it. Never loan out your car! He started to fall asleep and hit the edge of a county bridge with concrete sides. He peeled 14” - 16” of drivers side sheet metal from front fender, door 1, door 2 and half of the quarter panel. You could see the windows and regulators...and they all still worked. ASE Master Tech since 1978-Retired.

Very nice. As they say, "more than one way to skin a mule". This way works very well for you and I sure like to see someone really try to get it as perfectly straight as possible. My hats off to you Sir! Tom

Way out west! I am in eastern Oklahoma and had 1 inch of snow today and is supposed to be down to 5 degrees in the morning. Burr. I just saw where they had terrible tornados in Alabama and several people lost their lives. Prayers for all that lost loved ones and property. We are in tornado alley and I have had tornados as close as a quarter mile from me. Too dang close! Whew. Keep up the good work. Are you self trained or did you work in a shop somewhere? Take care. Tom

Ratsnest Hotrods , well for self trained you do excellent work. I know a couple of brothers that are a few miles west of me that have a body shop, but their specialty is very high end Mustangs. Several of theirs have been on Barrett Jackson auctions. Some rare ones have cost over $250,000.00 to completely restore. They have a painter that goes by Skeeter. Can that guy spray paint. He is so good at color matching as well. I presently am working on a 29 Model A for my sister. It was a rust bucket. Everything was wore out. I am right now working on making and installing patches for the front fenders. Very time consuming making rounded patches with the wire edge. Talk later.

On a old car like that, no wonder you dont know what your doing. You dont use polyester primer, sealer, not clear coat. Basecoat, use solvent PPG EVERYHTING. NOT DIAMONT, NOT DUPONT( WAS BOUGHT OUT BY NASON/ AXALTA
