All I’m used to is featherfill. After you block In 120 it’s easy sanding. Fills all the minor lows from surfacing. Love the stuff

Purchased mine for doing headlamp restore. My concern, boasted a 20,000 rpm. But mine is failing out of box or something. I'm pulling what feels like 12,000 at best. Is there a way to rig up a testing mechanism to see what I'm getting out of the polisher?

I ordered that gun after watching your vid. Boy does it work good for Featherfill. The 3.0mm tip is huge. Ive seen others use smaller tips like 2mm in gravity guns or the mini pressure pot from harborfreight and they just dont build up fast enough. This gun is faster with more flow and a decent fan. I dont use featherfill that much these days. I like using Tamco 2k 4to1 layed on thick with a 2mm gun. It doesn't shrink back much and its easier👍

How could either of these primers be any harder to sand than body filler?? I call bs. I have used slick sand many times and it is a joy to sand because it is so easy and smooth. If it is laid on nicely, you can go straight to 320 or 400 grit. No way could you do that with filler or polyester putty. It makes no sense at all when people say that polyester primer is hard to sand. It is designed to be finely sanded and it is possible to paint directly over. It is great stuff. It makes big filler jobs much easier and sands like a dream.

Thanks for the advice. I bought the 20lb pot from HB and the brass ball valve blew a hole in the side after shooting only three door hinges and using maybe 5lb of glass media from HF. I thought it was defective, but now I know it’s just a design defect. I’m gonna try this valve out, as I liked how it worked, and I won’t be able to find anything else for $80!

I just picked up a 1964 AMC rambler American 440 that needs the trunk floor pan replaced. Can you suggest or know of anyone that reproduces a new metal pan? I'm also going to drop a 343 & auto transmission out of a 1968 AMC AMX Into it, would you happen to know if there's conversion motor mounts & trans mount made to do the swap with? Any help is appreciated

You need to find a V8 crossmember and the short metal engine brackets from a 66 to 69 American. The short engine mount brackets are only on American, Gremlin and Hornet. A crossmember from a Gremlin or Hornet may work. I am going to be trying to put one of my American crossmembers into a 81 Spirit. I believe Gavin's AMC had it in their catalog. Otherwise it's swap meets and clubs or if you're lucky a junk yard. Going to be pretty pricey for any 01 small body only V8 parts. Thats why so many people just weld in chevrolet mounts. I could never do that I am a purest AMC engine only. Transmission crossmember is the same for automatic and manual.

Hey brother I’m wanting to rewire my 76 c10. I’ve already got a LS stand alone harness for my swap ,but would like to change out the chassis wiring for the rest of my truck. I’ve already got the Dakota digital gauges and all other engine components wired to the stand alone harness. I’m not currently running electric windows or locks but would like to eventually, so I’d love your opinion on what set up I could use without the overkill or too much unnecessary wiring. Any advice would be appreciated thank you.

My friend Pete from diy auto school says it worth less to spray feather fill on the whole panel you only use it on spots you did the bodywork on. Now after the bodywork is finished and there’s metal showing spray epoxy primer to lock your work in then after it’s dry enough Flash time then spray Feather fill only in the spots you did your repairs on not the whole car or panel because my friend Pete from DIY auto school says so. Now put that in your pipe smoke it
