In my opinion, this is 100x more valuable than the typical "10 tips for bla bla bla". Not to say these cant be valuable as well (really enjoyed the series on neurotransmitters recently), but for the entrepreneur segment of your audience, these are gold. Kind of like a nicer, more chill version of Mozi almost 😀 I've been watching your channel selectively for years now and if it was 100% content like that, I'd be watching every video front to back. I know, not representative probably, but possibly still interesting feedback for you to iterate on. Keep up the good work!

You've always been one of the most transparent people on KZbin Ali, and I so appreciate that! I think for me, the most valuable thing is actually hearing the negative chatter in your head, and how you handle it. It's easy to assume that at the level you're at, you won't be facing such things (is this gonna be useful to anyone etc) - but it's refreshing to know that you've got to where you're at even with the doubts creeping in!

Hey Ali. This is probably one of the most valuable videos that I’ve seen you post in recent times. Yes, the format is not optimised for maximum retention nor is it directly valuable for your primary demographic, however, for smaller demographic of people who are serious about building online businesses, this is invaluable.

Ali, Ali, Ali, The best time of the year is seeing you reflect on your journey. I've been following you for almost three years, and your life story always inspires me. I'm not sure why, but I’ve found so many things that resonate with me. I’m not saying you’re perfect, but I do see you as an honest person, at least from my perspective, who truly wants to make a difference in people’s lives. Much love to you! My prayers are with you. :)

I think this kind of video is extremely helpful. 1) it provides emotional value to the audience. People will know successful KZbinrs like you even have this struggles and challenges and it tells the audience that it is normal to have these struggle feelings. 2) It shows more personalities of you, which helps to build more personal connections and loyalty to your channel. 3) It is not solely about emotions and struggles you are encoutering, you also shared lessons that you learned, tools that you think it is super helpful, which set up a causal and nice pace.

I watched it until the end. First of all, thank you for being very clear. As a young business owner who has nothing to do with KZbin or being a creator, I have already read almost all the management, entreprenurship, and productivity books. I have been following your channel for over 5 years now. My favorite videos have always been the background of the business videos such as this one. I re-watch the how much money the business has made, business finance, and the annual review videos. I find great value from watching these kind of videos. Please continue. Loved the book by the way. Congrats.

Absolutely love this video. If you’re looking for ‘quick tips’ then it’s the wrong one. If however you’ve experienced any of what Ali talks about, or you want a real taste of what the journey of building a product, with a team, actually feels like, then the video is a 10/10. There are some major pain-saving bits of advice within.

What's useful for me is seeing your philosophy on how you do business! I'm probably going to remember "Ready, fire, aim" as a really useful mnemonic for the iterative process to product dev. It's also nice to see the unfiltered reality of launching a product, that even Mr. Ali Abdaal with all this experience and success gets some things wrong. It's nice to remember that entrepreneurship is a very human endeavor.

Loved that you showed visuals and actually went entierly behind the scenes to show the thought process and the conversations between you and the entire team. It's easy to give people steps. Ex. Do market research, validate your offer, etc. And leave it at that, without going into so much detail. But this was really a whole in-depth masterclass.

I liked this video because it felt like having you around and brainstorming / sharing your thoughts out loud. Rather than just giving out what the person SHOULD do or learn, we were seeing the thinking process raw from your end. It helped validate that this is a thing, but also to see how things can move forward. I also liked the parts that are focused on seeing the whole process, as someone who is trying to start my own business now, and would like to have more deep dive on that

Hey Ali! I'm Evan, I'm starting a business and committee at 16 years old centered around Social Emotional Learning and Social Media respectively- fulfilling my passion of Psychology & Education. As soon as I saw the title of this video, I knew I had to watch it. I saw it all the way through and the amount of insight I have is unparalleled. What I appreciate most about this video and you in general is your philosophy around selling to people. You're not selling to customers, to numbers on a screen, these are all human beings on the other side and that's something you place first, something that can't be said for most. You care about bringing value to people's lives, pure value, and as an aspiring educator and entrepreneur, that's something I will imitate on my endeavors. Seeing the Figma boards, seeing how you use emojis in your marketing and design, seeing iteration after iteration of the curriculum, and the impact the money-returns get to you, it speaks volumes, and it tells me your intentions are in the right place. I have much more insight on my early stage for my business, and I want to do it for the right reasons like you. I found this video to be incredibly valuable, thank you for making it 🙏

Regarding the pricing part... You could experiment with a 12 week "accelerator" (£500-£1000) which covers the 3 months you were talking about, then have them graduate to the full Productivity Lab and use the annual billing you already used, because you only get the people in who really love it and the pricing makes sense for. The ones who would have churned after 3 months will leave at the end of the accelerator

Hi Ali, nice to 'e-meet' you here. I'm a new subscriber to your channel and loving every single bit of it. I'm from Argentina but have been living in China for the last 8 years (Congrats on moving to HK, great place). First time I'm feeling the need of commenting on a video but, this hits different as I'm in the process of building a product myself and struggle with some things. Personally I think there's a missed step between 1) Set up a goal 2) Take action and here it is: MINDSET. I noticed that I have no problem coming up with goals I want to achieve and knowing the actions I should be taking in order to achieve it, however, the reason I failed is "wasted inner energy/resistance". This means: the internal struggle I face every time I want to go into a direction but my mindset or limiting belief tells me otherwise. I end up questioning myself and really slowing down the whole process.... I also believe this is the reason why most of us "fail" to even attempt to achieve a goal because we do get a burst of energy right off the start but that washes off as the resistance to change starts pushing you in the opposite direction with things like "You're not good enough" "It's possible for others but not for you" etc. We all know this inner shitty chat. Since I started working on my mindset and stop interrupting my own creative processes, I gained more confidence, less DOUBTS (confused mind always says no) and started moving forward. So my recap is: We all know deep down what we want and what do we need to do, however the reason why we don't do it it's because we think it's not possible (and try to find whatever reason to support this). Wish more productivity courses would include this. Grow your mindset, grow your business.

What I got from it is that I think it is great of you as creator and entrepreneur to be so open about your business..as external point of view I would say that I believe that improving your productivity means different things for different people so probably difficult to create a “product”..there is also no end point..yes the guy who created his app might have improved his productivity in the process but it is more of an ongoing exercise and recurring need..so as community with tools and systems to improve your productivity might work especially if everyone can pick what work for them..I think if you include this level of flexibility you will be fine..do not force it into a specific product because probably there is not such a thing per se..

I listened to the whole video. I sometimes do something else but listen to long videos as if it was a podcast. I think what I got from it is an insight of all the process of creating a brand and a product which is pretty interesting being someone who has zero experience on how to do it. I have watched many of your videos and today you talked about stuff you never talked before which I found pretty interesting. I would like to soon join one of your programs and eventually start my own business and KZbin channel. Keep doing videos like these.

I occasionally teach our customers how to use our product, and at the beginning, I received the same feedback-they felt overwhelmed. Currently, I’m using a gaming approach. In a computer game, the hero doesn’t learn all the skills at level 1 either. Every 5-10 levels, new skills and abilities are introduced. By the way, I think the “Productivity Pirates” idea is awesome. I wish you had do it. After all, it’s your course, and people book it because they like you. If you had implemented the pirate theme, it might have felt more authentic.🏴‍☠️ Thanks for the video-I really enjoyed it! :)

Fr This was really valuable Im still a student and im thinking of starting a business which will be more like a community type thing. I really learnt a lot of stuff about how to huild a community from here And that you want to makr money from people gaining value from your product. Not those who don't

With copytrading, you could be sipping coffee on a balcony overlooking a bustling city skyline or lounging on a pristine beach, all while your investments work for you. Picture the freedom to pursue your passions, travel the world, and create lasting memories with your loved ones, all because you took the initiative to harness the power of copytrading and build the life you've always dreamed of

@@ReginaldsKeiths The issue is people have the "I want to do it myself mentality" but are not equipped enough for a crash and, hence get burnt. Ideally, advisors are reps for investing jobs, and at first-hand encounter, my portfolio has yielded over 300% since 2020 just after the pandemic to date.

Keep it simple, buy things you understand, take some risk but don't try to shoot the lights out. I currently have 75% SCHD and 25% ROTH IRA. Brokerage account is 40% VOO, 35% SCHD, 25% XLK. Combine balance ~$3.3m Less than 3 years until retirement.... I have about 400k in cash. My portfolio has yielded far more than I expected for my retirement. Kudos to my advisor.

My biggest takeway from this video is about focusing on momentum rather than consistency for launching a new product or service, a recemmendation from the book Ready, Fire, Aim

Hey! I usually do not comment on any videos but as you requested in the end, I wanted to give some honest feedback of this video 😊I'm currently starting my entrepreneurial journey, coming up with a business idea and refining that so it was especially helpful to hear what you concretely did in the beginning of the process (competitive analysis, dream outcome, "start-vehicle-destination", G=iv^2, "ready-fire-aim"). I got a tons of new ideas out of these how to apply these to my own "concept to execution"-process. However, all these came up in the first half of the video, and after that (after you started filming on the second day), I felt like the focus changed a bit; you started showing the Figmas/Miros (which is cool to see as well) but the focus was very much connected what kind of product names etc. you thought through with the team rather than just showing the overview of the process that "this is how much the product iterated, this is how many names we came up with". I think going so deeply into what is actually in the Figma-board will lose the kind of applicability for others to take that and apply it to their processes rather than showing only the overview of the product naming process etc. So maybe thinking "if I explain/show this to others, are they able to apply this to their own product building processes (or how much value they gain out of seeing all the little details of building the course structure etc.)" would help to shift the focus to have it on the actual process "from concept to execution" rather than going through all details of a course's history. But thank you so much for the video, got still many great insights from it and definitely more of these are welcome!

Absolutely brilliant content. Highly appreciate your transparency. That would be great to see how technically you've organazied operations of this business, like I've noticed a few tools like Slack, Zapier, Spiffy and how much effort has that required from you to implement all the stuff after ideation phase

Ali - as I am watching this video this is my third time writing a comment each time about different thing. so lastly when I reached the end you asked what I got from the video. I would say thanks for sharing your experience and you helped me to see what I would not do when I launch my product. I feel like at some points we are opposite so basically you showed the things you believe are right but for me they donts. So yeah getting to see my opposite will actually help me to self critic and really to find what is right for me to do. Also i realized I do not need to take any course or join any community other than just applying the common sense which is set goals - take action - adapt - repeat. Thanks again for these insider views hopefully we come across at some point. regards from Iraq. Mohammed
