QUICK UPDATE: I completely understand having 1 million+ followers makes my launch day quite a bit easier. The crazy thing is I mainly only promoted it and got clients from my instagram account @monicachurchrealestate that has 5,000 followers that I started specifically for the reason of attracting realtors as clients. The focus in this video was how I got all my back end systems in place to create a business online. I know I glossed over the whole "marketing" part a bit. With that said I am ALREADY planning a new video on how to create a social media account from SCRATCH to grow your business. Thank you guys for the feedback and watching! You definitely do NOT need a million followers to have a successful launch, even just 1,000 super engaged will be more successful.

When I first started recording myself and creating content, I used to get pretty down on myself if I had to repeat myself a bunch of times until I got it “right” so I love that you shared that you repeat yourself a lot when recording a video - hopefully anyone else watching who’s just starting out recording videos of themselves knows that this is totally normal both in the beginning and even after you’ve been doing it for years!

Have you considered how to adapt this content to someone without 1) a million followers and 2) the same level of startup capital (you already had the equipment and the funds for a photo shoot for example)? This is how *you* did it but step one can't be "spend the last decade cultivating a social media following".

I realize I did gloss over that part pretty quickly, and would LOVE to make a future video on more of a specific how to strategize your content for a launch starting from 0 followers :) Thank you for the feedback and idea! This video was more of a "taking you along in MY journey" and less of a "step by step how to" - That's why I specifically named it "how I" instead of "how to", but I definitley would love to get more into the weeds of growing your own social media in future videos! It's just so much to tackle in one video. I have a few videos that I have recently posted with tips on how to create if you want to check those out, it could be a good place to start.

The issue you will eventually find is scaling the business as it will be a time sink as you will top out the number of manageable calls. You may want to look into diversifying into courses or social media review as add ons that can essentially be more easily scaled and offer a lower price of entry widening the potential market.

I am planning to start an online wood burning business. I have the ideas & the drive... I've been doing it all myself for 3 yrs now, but I want to really devote & build it 100% now. I have a decent enough network now that I feel like I can actually succeed with this. I feel like in another video of yours, you mentioned you aren't interested in actually setting up people's/brands KZbins for them, but I wonder if showing a "normal" person trying this process (like building an online business in a month or etc) on your channel would actually be really cool?? That's a good question! I filmed a bit about this, but the video was getting so long that I didn't put it in. Hopefully I will touch on it later. Basically, I already have 2 seperate S-corps set up: one for youtube, one for real estate. I decided to run this business through my youtube umbrella since it is about media. I hate taxes and this whole side of things so I have a tough time talking about it haha.

Would love to see you offer a small group coaching where each gets a little individual attention but the group works on the same topics. That would allow you to do one session and service several clients at a bit of a reduced rate since it’s a group setting. And I would record those sessions and sell the recordings.

Great video but slightly misleading. I imagine that you would’ve already had many of the legal requirements already completed due to your other businesses you already have established. I imagine you already have a business and tax structure established. You glossed over the legal to-do’s that are required if you are starting from scratch. Things like forming a business structure (LLC, PLLC, etc.), obtaining city/ county licenses, getting a business bank account, securing a way to accept payments from clients, and other requirements dependent on the business you’re starting.

Everyone who wants to be like her, you can do it. But keep in mind, she worked her way up to 1.5 million subscribers on here. This is her marketing her business. Get like Monica, and then you can get customers as fast as her. In real life, if you don't have a following, it takes a lot of work and time. So, don't look at her for how fast it worked for her, but look at her work ethic behind it.
