As a college professor I'm kind of impressed with the amount of effort you put into cheating. The students I catch are all just lazy. "Oh, hey I'll copy 50% of my final assignment from a paper I wrote for another class. The professor won't be able to tell." I was in elementary and as a young kid my mom told me stories about how her and her bestfriend had this secret written lenguage that only they knew. I loved that idea so much I stayed the night before making random letters of my own. Like- I would make a random letter and that would be my A. And I did this with the whole ABC's and memorized it. I then wrote some notes for my health class exam the next day. The day of the exam I sat down, Placed the paper in the floor and just kept staring at it the whole exam. I wasn't being sneaky or anything, The teacher walked next to me and even saw me looking at this gibberish filled paper, reading it, then answer stuff on the exam and probably thought "Just a dumb 5th grader doing dumb 5th grader things" I'm still so proud to this day and I brag about it to everyone. I still use my secret ABC's in my diary in case my mom comes across it. I'm in High school now 👍

Honestly, you should have explained your circumstances to the professor in question. I can almost guarantee he would have let you substitute the material you needed to know. You most likely would have still had to memorize the anatomy of a similar insect, but I'd be extremely surprised if he was unwilling to co-operate at all. I suppose there certainly is that possibility, but as a student you are also entitled to a safe and satisfactory testing environment. I've known multiple individuals whom have needed slight testing modifications ,based on differing circumstances, at multiple universities and I have thus far never had any professor completely just shut them down as long as the changes made sense and were within reason.

I feel you. Scary amount of formulas in higher Calc. I could never do it nowadays, as my brain isn't as elastic anymore now that I'm older, plus while I used to be able to memorize all kinds of scientific things and numbers, I'm better remembering humanities sorts of things now. Having kids literally does change your brain. Plus since my daughter got sick, my cell phone was unable to cope with setting alarms for everything, so I memorized her medication schedule, signs and side effects of everything when she was on chemo, and afterwards, but forgot how old I was, and a whole bunch of stuff from certain periods of American History, some math, and parts of rocket science and materials science. The interest in microbiology from the biology class for the education major I later changed out of proved useful, though. And the roaches, wow. I would advocate having that taken off the test for you as phobias can be quite debilitating. I also fail to see why that level of detail was relevant. But seriously, folks, like she said, don't cheat. It is okay to occasionally take a personal day for stress management, and the really good professors understand and expect this. Just know your professors before you try it. If you can't get a good read, talk to other students to see if anyone has had then before and knows what they're like.

The only time I ever attempted to cheat on a test was in elementary school for what I think was a history test. I made a nice small cheat sheet that I was able to conceal, honestly I don't remember where I put it, maybe inside my sleeve.. anyway, turns out I never had to use it because the process of making the cheat sheet helped me remembered everything that was on it lol. I never attempted to cheat again because I reasoned the same thing you did about a surgeon that got their degree by cheating. I was ok with my mistakes because it is also important to know what you don't know. I also did not have the same amount of pressure to succeed that kids like you had.

This is hilarious lmao. I cheated for my Bsc. a few times, it was the cheat of the century, half my class was in on it. We already had failed Engineering Maths and Thermodynamics 2 and had to redo it so we weren't about to fail Engineering Maths 2 or Thermodynamics 2 again especially as those are the 2 hardest courses of our degree. We already had to take 4 years instead of 3 to complete our degree because of those failed courses. So we created a sign language where rubbing different parts of your body meant different things and a tapping system where tapping a different amount of times on the side on your desk meant different answers. This way we knew which formulas to use, etc. It was 32 of us working together to cheat and pass. In the end we all knew the work, just we were too scared of failing again because of how difficult the degree was. Also my parents didn't accept failure and I had to work and pay to redo those courses.

2:22 get a long sleeve jacket, wear a long sleeve shirt with tight wrists or just bring tape to school, write your formulas/notes on your forearm (about an hour before the test cause you can't have the teacher seeing marked or your forearm or the ink fading away), drain the battery of your uv light to be dim but bright enough that you can read clearly and quickly, tape your uv light to your forearm (be sure its not obvious and refrain from pointing your forearm up to hide the pen,) and you have a extremely easy way to cheat with little risk and the supplies provided to you by your school. This also works better with a large jacket and if you are really good at palming you can get extra space to write on by cupping your hand around the light and reading off your hand or say an extra pice of paper in your pocket.

6:03 - 6:05 OMG I'M DYING!!! HELP THIS IS SO HILARIOUS!! and it's I'm impressed u got away both times in a FINAL exam I mean, I've cheated myself a fair amount of times but NEVER in an exam- WAY too risky - I've done it a few times in tests and my friend was like: Bish Imma tell the teacher! u crazy?!

One time I wrote the test answers on my arm in Japanese since I knew I was the only one who could read it and nobody was suspicious they just said “oh my god that’s so cool!”

I didn’t cheat directly but as Covid regulations in Germany we’re still here and we had homeschooling, we had to present something MEMORIZED, in French class but I hadn’t had enough time to learn it by memorizing it so I was in a video call , on the app called zoom for our lesson, I had the split screen open on my ipad while on that call and I just read the presentation I prepared off my iPad 😅

Once I wasn't confident so I scribbled a few hints on my leg and during exam I scratched my leg once, to pull up my pants a bit and peek. The most I cheated was pulling stuff from the web for native dutch class because I would fail but barely get a pass with help of the people sharing their work on the webb. Hell I spend 7 years not getting my diploma I went for. The part that is actually important for work I excel in. But school I fail because I suck so much in the tasks they also want.

My parents aren’t strict. When I get a d or a f then they just ask me who I got that grade and try to help me on that certain thing I’m stuck on
@RYMAN13213 жыл бұрын
Thankfully for me, the lowest grade I ever got in college was in my Macroeconomics class, which I finished with a D. Absolutely the worst and hardest class I ever had. Teacher wasn't helpful, didn't explain things clearly, and the terms were overly convoluted and complex. Thankfully though, I just completed my Associates Degree this year.

As a math major, you do have to know a lot of formulas, definitions, and theorems. But, they should come more naturally the more you use them.
