How I Cleared my Newborn's Baby Acne in 3 Days

If you’re a new mom, then it’s only natural that you’re freaking out about every little thing that might go wrong with your baby, right? 😵‍💫
Well that was me about 3 weeks into caring for my newborn! He had started developing what I presume was baby acne. It started out with just a few bumps and a little redness in which his pediatrician just said was normal sometimes with hormones regulating and breastfeeding and that it would eventually go away on its on. After a few of days from his visit, it just spiraled out of control…my poor baby’s cheeks were so inflamed and dry! 😫 Of course I panicked and immediately got on the web and started searching for what I could find to at least relieve the dryness. I finally came across @mustelausa with countless amazing reviews of their stelatopia cream and decided to give it a try!
I applied it once a day after gently cleansing his face with luke warm water using a washcloth. By day 3, it had cleared up tremendously and by day 10 was completely clear! 🙌🏽 And at now 3 months, I still do the same routine and his skin is so smooth and hydrated! So grateful for this product and glad I decided to give it a try!

My baby boy also is having severe acne on face and cradle cap on the forehead. I have been told to only use Vaseline for the cradle cap and nothing for acne. Just clean twice a day with warm water and pat dry. I am happy to keep doing it as advice by the doctor. Just want to ask when your baby acne started to heal was it drying out ? I see similar acne patch in the skin 3 week later picture in your video same as my boy (who 5 week old and his acne started from week en dog 3 week). I am asking because I am worried is it it’s getting better or worst ?

my nephew had it too, my mom said all of us had it as a baby, and asked my sister to just put her breast milk on his face. and it healed very fast we asked the doctor, he said it is typical for babies to have them, and not put any cream, it will clear away on its own. i didnt know it until then. he said it occurs bc the baby was in mom's womb and the hormones cause it, it will go away.

My baby has it as well. He is 3 weeks old. His doctor said the same thing don’t put anything on his face that its my hormones from my breast milk. Did your babies acne go away? How long?

@@lisey22 its not from breast milk, its from being in the uterus. you can put your breast milk on face twice a day. yeah it went away in a couple of weeks. it wont leave behind any scars. you dont have to worry.dont poke it though.

@@IIIILoveeee no I never tried it, I just stuck to Aquaphor and his doc told me to use hydrocortisone 1% cream for 4 days and it helped it clear up.

Have you been using a product that contains shea butter...wash, lotion, etc? If you think that is the cause, then definitely stop use of it and try something without it to see if it resolves,

Hey! Not sure if it would help with acne for teenagers. I do know that mustela makes products for the whole family, so I would check and see if they had anything else that you could possibly use. :)

It really depends on if we think it's just baby acne or is a possible contact dermatitis or allergy to a product or milk you're using possibly? I wasn't using anything on his face prior to except water, so I knew it was more than likely just baby acne/hormones. Have you consulted with your pediatrician...if so, curious to know their thoughts?
