For European friends: These Minute steaks are available everywhere in supermarket in the USA and Canada. It's one of the best deals for a steak. My father was a butcher. This comes from either the tip of round or sirloin. It's a fibrous meat cut that is awkward to process. Many times it would become ground beef. It's much higher in collagen too. But if you cut parallel to the muscle fibers and the tenderize the meat it's absolutely fabulous. It's perfect to marinate. In a way it's comparable to flank steak. The taste is fabulous but it doesn't have enough fat This steak is a cheat meal for me because of the marinade: I would marinate 500-600g of minute steak in a good avocado oil, mustard, spices, Apple cider vinegar overnight it. That where the magic happens! I cook it in it's marinade. I know it's weird but caramelization isn't really wanted when cooking this cut of meat but do not overcook, as it toughen up easily. That's why it's called minute steak after all. I serve this with a LARGE chunk of butter on top! It's more of a Ketovore meal but I love it to much mot to have it a 4-5 times a year. The meat melts in your mouth! Asmongold is completely right this is Friken good!

I've seen minute steaks in the UK but only in one supermarket and it was in one of the cheap ones. Cheaper then a Lidl or Aldi which I think you have in the states.
@vanjackone25 күн бұрын
In the UK I think we used to call it frying steak, and you used to see it a lot, years ago, but not very much now. If you cooked it quick it was ok, but too much and it would be like a piece of leather.

Steak at 1AM?! I disagree, my best hour is at 3AM! First night on a temporary apartment. Around 3 AM start cooking a steak, the fire alarm start screaming! Pure panic to turn it off. Until then I was not even aware of it's location. In a few minutes the landlord and the next door neighbor came calling. Oops!😞 It's worth mention that was my first night there because my own house had BURNED DOWN. And they knew about it... 😇

Man is a millionaire and he likes to keep things cheap... He could hire someone to clean his house and yet his room is meme level dirty. He could live in a huge fancy house, but he doesn't. Say what you will about him, but he's genuine. He doesn't care what other people think or care about. He lives like he wants to live and he says what he wants to say. Good for him. I'd rather have one genuine friend that's living like a hobo than 100 fake friends that live in fancy houses and shower 3 times a day. Also, tip for people still eating potatoes: Try cooking it in the microwave like Asmon does instead of boiling it. It retains a lot more of that potato flavour and doesn't taste like bland paste.

The Collab we needed but didn't deserve! Two of my favourite KZbinrs in the same video (I'll be honest you're among my top10 at least, and I just warch Zack every day) a dream come true! Now if by some miracle, could it happen that Zack sees this and reacts to reaction, or maybe even enters a dialogue with some carnivore youtuber? Because he's been a little struggling (well, or at least starting to get concerned) about his health lately - just a few days ago he posted 2 videos, and already got a reaction from an "influencer" with a useless advice "eat healthy and be active" so he thinks it's all in the gym and "healthy diet" so he bought some protein bars and Gatorade.... Oh someone please help him! Then he complained about the salt in the Gatorade... Kent... Help him please ❤❤❤

When I have a steak I use my cast iron pan and the next morning when I have eggs I use the fat that was collected the night prior to fry my omelet and my fuck yo does it taste good. Every time I make a steak for dinner I look forward to those next morning eggs. I think Asmongold could easily get away with not having to wash his pan if it were made of cast iron and he just left it on the stove overnight for the next day's meal. The cast iron pan itself doesn't require washing all the time and in fact doesn't require oiling that often making for a very convenient (and healthy) pan alternative.

Kent, you've never had A1??? Oh man.... it's nothing like anything else you've ever had so throw that idea out the window. It does have sugar but as a carnivore myself I admit I do occasionally indulge with a tablespoon of A1 in a small bowl that I can dip particularly fatty or grisly pieces of steak in. It goes absolutely perfect with steak. Its thick and tangy and a little citrusy and a little sweet. Best sauce ever. It's not like HP. Can you tell I'm a fan? 😅

Okay I was watching, enjoying, reading comments, but when he held up that steak I lost it!!!!! I can’t stop laughing, tha’ts like one of those dollar store paper thin steaks like that What are we eating? guy does! There’s more seasoning than meat by weight, lol! Oh now he’s worried about it and cooks it well done, but at home salads and such are far more contaminated and likely to cause food poisoning. We actually never ate salad because my dad picked lettuce in California when he was a teenager and knew what they did in the fields😂 He was horrrified when they first got married and screamed in terror when he found out my mom didn’t even wash lettuce 😂

Someone cloned Nicolas Cage - and then mutated his face a bit. Heheh. (more personality and way of speaking in that first segment). Some of our stores, in the USA, use beef as a "loss leader" to pull people in, so they'll also buy cereal and stuff (they make a killing on that). A $2 steak is probably not very big in most cases (as you point out very thin). We have prime and choice in grocery stores, and in 'lesser' food stores we have "select" grade. And then questionable imported beef in certain mostly ethnic stores - which is probably grass fed and grass finished but can't be sold as such. It is from Mexico or a country like that -= and can be a poor man's grass-finished.
@Moshugaani25 күн бұрын
I wonder if you could get a thin steak to cook to medium but still achieve a crust by using one of those super hot pizza ovens? Those things only take half a minute to cook a whole pizza, so maybe it would be able to cook the outside of the steak to a crisp while leaving the inside a bit rare. :D
