Thank you Vickie for this video. They are always very much appreciated. On learning my MS diagnosis, my initial fears were that my vision would be greatly affected and that MS is terminal. Well, my vision hasn't worsened and I quickly realised that MS is not terminal! We can certainty live a good quality of life with MS! x

Thanks David! I was worried it would shorten my life too! When I was diagnosed they were saying it shortened our lives by 7 - 10 years!! So glad that has changed!

Our happy memories can bring us around to a more calm state and regulate our nervous system. Using smell can help. Bakery, BBQ, coffee etc. I carry a small bottle of spearmint. The scent reminds me of the penny candy store I visited as a child. Find the strategy that serves(and not hurts)you❤

Hi Vickie, thanks for a great video. My therapist gave me some exercises from cognitive behavioral therapy that were really helpful. Our thoughts are not ‘the truth’, and we can choose to listen to or ignore them. Observe them. Let them pass like clouds in the sky. Choose if you want to interact with them. Etc. (On a side note, personally the background music was distracting me from your beautiful message. Talk about cognitive symptoms 😉)
@EvenSoItIsWellАй бұрын
@@laurarosanne thanks Laura! Great tip! I also appreciate the feedback about the music. I sometimes try new things and they fall flat. 😉
