I love overthinking my trips! And yes, a loungewear set is mandatory. During my last trip to LA, it was unseasonably cold, not to mention the hotel room. I had to buy yoga pants and a warm tee from Target...

I love that you said 70 degree sweats and boots weather! I live in South Texas and anything under 70 is cold for me. 😂 great video. Thank you. I tend to overpack but am really trying to downsize my luggage when traveling. Your video is very helpful.

I could talk about packing forever! There is no system for me… to many variables and I am always changing my mind what I want and my mind isn’t all the way organized itself. The only constant is the size of my carry on and the pounds I have to go by. That with the weather dictates what I bring the most and what I will be doing. I hate overpacking but also it’s nice not to do laundry :) Hot hot summer list, wear one black linen pant airplane, pack 1 jeans (2 if it fits) 3 linen pants. 5 dresses with lightweight material to pack smaller. I take 5 button down shirts. One or two cardigans, 3 if I can do it. Then 3/4 tanks and as many shirts as I can fit (5-10). 4 bras. One tankini… if I go to the beach a lot on this trip I will add one more one piece. I bring a coverup not to sunburn and to be modest but that cover up will have lightweight material and pack small. (If I dont plan on swimming I still bring one tankini) A beach towel is a luxury I probably won’t bring, 4 bras, 10 undies, 6 tiny ballet socks. Two belts one waist one hip. One necklace. I also bring an electric shave that charges by usb. I get razor burn. Luxury item for me is a dual voltage flat iron. I try to shove it in my carry on. I also buck it up and bring a travel dual voltage mini hairdryer. For shoes this time tennis shoes airplane. Keen rose sandals and teva flip flop in back. If I can I will pack the tennis and wear ballet flats (but that’s a pipe dream) Toiletries is a whole other story!!!! What goes in my Backpack other story. What ever you do, make sure the suitcase closes easy in case security checks your bag. I could go on and on and on and on …. One thing about summer and air conditioning… If I have it a lightweight cashmere cardigan that fits in a small pack back is worth its weight in gold. If not then any cardigan will do.

Did you ever think you needed a beach towel? Otherwise I agree with all the things you showed and thought your idea of the slip dresses was genius! Hope your trip went well!

A beach towel would be heaven to bring but it is bulky. It is like a non essential really but if you want to bring one and you don’t have room in your bag… bring a backpack on the airplane and shove the towel in the bottom of it. It is a luxury item but I say go for it if you will be at the beach. If you can get to a target or similar just buy one where ever you go. But for whatever reason taking time to do that on vacation is probably not going to happen for me haha I am usually with a group is why.

Microfiber beach towels weigh nothing and pack down into nothing. I like them because the sand doesn't stick to them and the dry sooo fast. I always have mine at the bottom of my backpack. I'm carryon only, just got back from 3 1/2 months in Europe.

@@traciannveno right now IKEA has some lemon yellow microfiber hand towels that are big enough to do the job. Divers use them wet to sort of squeegee the water off their body before/after diving. Less than $10

@@leighkaterina I'm also that short! I would love to see a video on how you style your clothes for travel with a try on. I always struggle to find good fitting petite clothing, especially pants with a 25" inseam.

I check when ever I can but I go to Italy and the cars a small. Anything other than carry on size would be so sad to take around honestly. But I am no minimalist. One large suitcase if you have good transportation to the hotel door would be a dream. Also I take the subway to airport and have to carry it up and down stairs. It really depends on how you get to where you’re going how big your suitcase is. Also wear you fly. To many transfers and your luggage will get lost in Europe. Now because so many flights in Europe get canceled. It’s a nightmare to get your luggage from a canceled flight in some stop over country. So it depends…… if you have a direct flight with taxi to and from. Take the whole the house haha
