How I Dealt With a Quarter-Life Crisis | Figuring Out What to Do With My Life

In this video, I share 6 specific things that helped me deal with my quarter-life crisis and find clarity on what I want to do with my life. If you're currently going through a quarter-life crisis or life transition, I hope something in this video can be helpful for you.
I also want to acknowledge that not everyone has the time or financial means to leave their current job and explore a new path that aligns better with them. To be able to take time off and search for a new career is a privilege in itself, and I do not want to overlook that. However, even if you do not have too much time or space to explore, I think that each of these steps can still be tweaked to fit your particular situation and journey. For instance, even journaling for just a few minutes each day has huge impacts on our mindset in the long run! Sometimes it's not about finding the most ideal situation. Sometimes it's just about surviving and doing the best we can even when we're in a less than ideal situation. Rooting for you!

Be thankful to be alive and healthy. To have the freedom for many things. Others are chained to conformity pressure and couldn't experience a break from it to truly reflect on what they want.

My sister shared the link to your video on our family page. So glad that there are people like you we can learn from as we learn to navigate through life. Many times, many people don’t even start because they believe their story or actions won’t matter, but in reality, we have no idea the lives that can be impacted/changed if we just make a move. Thanks you for starting this channel.

this is extremely practical, thank you for this! most of the videos on youtube are comfort or encouragement, but it doesn’t get rid of the problem.

oh my gosh thank you sooo much! I feel like you’ve really gotten the ball rolling for me! I was also able to dive into more of what I want outside of a career as I journaled because honestly sometimes I’m a little too career focused. Thank you so much!!🥰

Thank you, Serena for this video! I'm sure it helped a lot of people, it helped me! I'm 25 and I met quarter crises one year ago. That time I knew nothing about it so it was a long, hard journey. But now I'm already feeling the first results, and thankfully to your video I've got new ideas how to go further and deal with it.

Almost everyone in my life, I literally know no one, really speaks on passion or what they are passionate about ever . It’s always been about how much money can you afford to live the way everyone else lives basically. I don’t want to live like any of them. I don’t even mean that in a spiteful way. I want to live a bit more of wht you call a life “off the beaten path” it feels authentic to me. I want to live nomadically, travel take my work with me help people every town I stop in somehow through volunteering, helping certain social issues. I want to help others guide them onto realizing their true passions, because of this. My actual passion is somewhat wht u r doing and how you have explained what you went through in your last video on this topic I feel the exact same way. I came to the conclusion just a couple of minutes ago really “ I’m going to be afraid regardless, so why not try? “ rather I try or not I’m going to be scared. I’m not use to putting myself on camera. But I’ve heard you loosen up after awhile and it becomes a norm .

Oh my goodness that's so true... I feel the same way you do. You should definitely try, because things could go really well like the way you want them to! I think that's great that you want to follow your passions. If you want we can talk about this more my instagram is Julia.kath.234_

Very great points! After university and getting that first job to now I have found that a lot of my values have changed. Time to journal. With journaling is that when you feel these emotions as in on the spot or during a set time during your day, like before you go to bed?

Hey, Serena! I loved this video - your vulnerability, and relatability, and quality of the video! I am working on launching my own KZbin channel and have been researching women around my age who are killing it! I was wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing the equipment you use and the editing software (if any) for adding text and whatnot. I would greatly appreciate any pointers! Thanks so much! Elizabeth

Guys. Somebody, please help me. Idk what the graduation system is like in the USA.. But i feel like im way behind the curve when it comes to education, while im not really, when you look at the things in the bigger spectrum... Idk how to get out of the constant loop of feeling emptyness in my life, and still expect life to be embracing... Im halfway through my master, but really feel like this is the worst option for me, atm. im on a break from university, but i can't help it, but to feel i might be dumb or bad at what im doing, even though my grades dont match that image.... I have no idea what to do, and yes my message became a bit messy. Sorry.
