How I Diagnose faulty rear windows in a Mercedes 190e

In this video, I show you how I test the rear window wiring in a Mercedes W201/190e, I use this method because it allows me to test, the switches and motors at the same time.

Another quick question since im having a hard time looking for info online.. do you know where the camshaft position sensor is located on the 190e 2.0?

I believe it's on the front of the engine at the bottom where the AUX belt gets it's drive power, just behind the pulley.

Hey man, i wanna replace my fuel injectors and from watching your previous videos i know i should ask you for advice. Im kinda afraid to pull the breather tube, if im correct, out of the air filter housing. If i remember correctly, you replaced that tube aswell because it was old and fell apart. Should i use quite a bit of force when i wanna remove it or should i first place the air filter housing in a better position and then removd the hose? Because its quite hard/not flexible plastic/rubber

If they are quite hard and not as flexible as they should be it may be a good Idea to just order new ones before you start doing anything just in case they do break, they're quite cheap from the local dealership. They do need a bit of force to get of but not too much and they can be removed with everything sitting in place.

I have my driver side window it rolls down but it won’t roll up on my 190e ? Do you think it’s a switch or regulator problem

Electric? If it goes down, then the wiring, motor and regulator sound like they are working correctly, it will most likely be a broken switch.

So what needs to be replaced ? To find a short or a new window switch ? How did you know it wasn’t the window regulator ?

Because the motor didn't click when the switches were pressed, and the switch on each side didn't illuminate.

Could be a vacuum leak or the actuator that locks the door could be broken.
