I used to have tooth problem for 4 months, and I didnโt eat rice during that time (except someday I make rice porridge). I drink a lot of sweet water and eat junk food - because it gaves away the hunger without rice. I thought I will gain weight, but naahhh... I lose 5kg during that time - without even dieting. @lilycha93983 ะถัะป ะฑาฑััะฝ
I agree that it's a lifestyle. I don't eat just because I think I'm hungry. Keyword is think. Sometimes our mind makes us think we're hungry when in fact we're just craving for that pleasure of tasting delicious food. The solution for that is to not give in. Don't make eating a hobby. I make that a personal rule and have maintained a weight of 45 kg (99 lbs) ever since. I can still eat anything I want in moderation.
I relate so much to this! I was 20kg overweight and throughout my weight loss journey I was extremely obsessed with calories and restricting food. I felt guilty even about eating an apple. Once a day I would go to the gym and I would not leave if I did not get rid of at least 800 calories. I developed anorexia, and I would eat around 300 to 600 calories a day. If I ate 900 or 1000 (mostly out of chicken breast and salad) I'd feel guilty and thus hello bulimia (which lasted almost 4 years). I gained everything back and severely damaged my health (both physical and mental). Now after 5 years and lots of therapy I'm trying to lose weight again in a healthier mindset :) edit: August 2023. it's been 2 years, I have moved to another country, met new people. I am very happy and my life is not only about food and being thin anymore. I've been much more active and lost around 10/15 kg throughout the past year without being too restrictive. I'll try and lose 10kg more in the next months but I love myself even at this weight. If someone had told me at 18 I could be this happy and love myself this much at my current weight I would not have believed them.

Me too! I was anorexic and depressed. All throughout my life, I keep failing at dieting. I went through therapy and fixed my relationship with food first, now I have a healthier mindset. It's not a race, but a marathon. Losing 0.5 kg may seem like it will take me a long time to reach my goal weight, but I feel better and less likely to rebound.

@Dave Turring you realize not everybody who loses weight will have loose skin?
@liyenong20174 ะถัะป ะฑาฑััะฝ
@Dave Turring Well most features on koreans on media are fake anyways. I'm Asian but that does not mean asian skin doesn't become loose. I think good skin elasticity could handle an average of 15 kg of weight loss before loose skin becomes obvious. She definitely had some procedures done, the problem with most weight lost on youtube makes people think they can get the perfect barbie and Ken bodies without considering other factors like your natural body shape (genes) there will be loose skin unless you replace almost the same area lost with muscle. I am personally afraid of weight fluctuations, I'm not sure how many women don't worry that their boobs may sag more if it were big and went even smaller during weight loss. (then again most asian girls dont gain much for boobs anyways) but yeah clearly most youtube weight loss women would go for boob job to cover it. Loose skin is just a consequence you have to face for having neglecting your body for a long time. I'm at 55kg currently, was 55+kg since 11 years old I was plump and have stretch marks on the top of my boob, outer hips, butt. it doesn't go away I lost the excess weight and maintained to be between 54 and 56.5 kg since 17 till now 24 years old. So yeah I am hourglass shape and get stretch marks, not enough weight loss to have loose skin though. loose skin is loose skin, people saying it doesn't affect asian I'll ask them to show me a belly pic of a fit asian mom with no sagging tummy skin.
I started the same way. I had bad eating habits, so I was constantly on a โon and off dietโ. I gained weight & lost weight and gained it again. After 8 years of dieting and exercising, Iโm finally learning how to simply eat in moderation while staying active. My advice is change your mindset from โdieting and exercisingโ to โfueling and trainingโ. Eat what you love, but eat healthy foods too. Keep in mind youโre only eating to fuel your body for what it needs.
I am 110 kg right now so I went to a dietician because I wanted to do a proper diet and he said that I can only lose 10 kilograms and if I want to lose more than that I have to get surgery.
