Thanks so much for the help guys, it sounds great! Where abouts do you find under "Editing Step 1" the 48Khz Resample
@DrewDTrott Жыл бұрын
No problem, I really hope this video helps. The resample is done when you Export. Go to Multitrack Mixdown > Entire Session and follow the details from the reddit post (i.e. Sample Rate: 48000Hz. Quality: 100%. Channels: Same as Source. Bit Depth: Same as Source. Dithering: Disabled.)

Great tutorial! Thanks a lot it will save me a lot of time. But i have 1 problem at editing step 1. 5 Normalize - Normalize to -1 db. At effects rack i have no this effect and i cant add it from effects panel. What i gonna do? And i dont understand what to do at 6. 48KhZ resample(((

Thanks so much for your comment! I am not sure I haven’t used the software for a little bit but there should be a normalise setting because it is a key effect within any DAW. Sorry I cannot provide more assistance

5:09 you dragged the files, but cut to the amplified version. It seems something went wrong
@DrewDTrott Жыл бұрын
The files that were dragged in the 2nd time were amplified due to the effect stack that had been previously applied

This assumes no editing of the audio. My audition multitrack recording is one big frantic edit. Get out silences uhs and ahs, and irrelevant parts. Synchronization with video later in premiere would not work wright? Wat would be the workflow then, edit audio in première?
@DrewDTrott Жыл бұрын
Yea that’s exactly right, chop the entire thing up in Premiere. Another option is finding some AI plug-in to do it all for you

amazing video! wow. You guys are refreshing with you videos and information! SUBSCRIBED! my question is as a beginner. I'm looking to keep as little costs as possible for my Video podcast. Since i am using an newer iphone for video recording and separate USB mics for audio at the moment, which program do you think is best? do i need to purchase both audition and premiere or can I buy one that can can both edit & fix audio and video?
@DrewDTrott3 жыл бұрын
So glad you found our channel and got some info for starting your pod Jesse. In terms of low cost, definitely don't worry about paying for Adobe Audition or Premiere, these are programs that I already pay for to edit other videos and things but wouldn't suggest paying for these solely for editing podcasts. A popular free program to use is called Audacity and it should do the same job with the Sync Lock feature. Best of luck, let us know how it all goes mate

I’ve tried exporting my 35minute podcast from premiere pro and it’s taking FOREVER!! Do you have any idea why? Thank you!!
@DrewDTrott2 жыл бұрын
Could be a number of things but double check the export settings like resolution are appropriate for your project. Sometimes my lower thirds and animations can slow my render time massively. Hope you get it sorted legend

Great! So just to be clear you would not want to edit out anything from your audio track separate from your video track…in other words if someone coughed you’d want to edit the audio and video together. I have a video podcast and I’m wanting to simplify as I’ve got intro/outro music and credits that are always the same. I’ve used Adobe Audition for ages but haven’t gotten a handle on Premier Pro yet. I’m using IMovie so far. I’d like to streamline the whole workflow.
@DrewDTrott Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the fantastic question. That’s right, for my process the editing occurs on the video timeline otherwise the 2 audio tracks (from camera & mics) will not synchronise on the timeline. Once the poor camera audio has been replaced THEN the edits for coughs and pauses can be done. If you have the same intro and outro music each time the workflow I’ve put together for this video will work great. In short: - improve audio quality (in Audition) - sync and replace audio from mics (in video software) - make edits/cuts to audio while working on video I have also just released a tutorial about how to upload video podcasts to Spotify that might be helpful for you. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gHKohHVsfJV3iaM
@comptonstills Жыл бұрын
Pretty sure you can export audio only file from premiere rather than having to reopen audition
@DrewDTrott Жыл бұрын
Yep you can for sure, just uncheck the video toggle during Export. I have a slightly different workflow to this now as I am uploading the video straight to Spotify (which then distributes the audio out to the other Apps for me). So my process is simply: 1) Fix up audio in Audition with the presets mentioned 2) Sync to video file in Premiere > add intro and outro > Export > Upload same mp4 file to Spotify and KZbin
