How do you remove the fuse from the orange disconnect?i know you said it just takes a 10mm something and I saw bolts in your video but I can’t see where they would have come from when I look at the one I removed from my car

you have to take apart the switch the fuse is held down inside with 10mm bolts

Is it necessary to swap the battery? I'm having the same issue and I think it's the fuse in the hybrid battery. However, the auxillary battery is still giving 12 volts so it seems to be fine. Is it necessary to change both or are you just playing it safe?

I think it's just a design issue once u upgrade the fuse you will be good 👍

yea basically means you have an open circuit in the hybrid battery fuse

What if the fuse is working and you are still getting the warning signal? Could it be a bad power relay assembly? It is March 5th at 4:36 est.

I think your code is a bit different from the video that code could be the next 3 things. A. Battery Voltage sensor B. Wiring Harness and/or connector OR C. Hybrid Battery basically says that the ecu that monitors the hybrid battery pack detected high voltage than normal. I would clear the code and drive it again see if comes back.

Hi, great information!! Thanks.....Will this High Voltage Fuse replacement also work for 2013 KIA Optima Hybrid? Dealership says it's giving the P1b70 code and they are quoting over $5000 to fix. Needless to say, I don't have that kind of money!!! Any suggestions? The car was just at the dealership less than a year ago for code P1b77 which they are saying is not related to current issue. Any help will be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! THANKS :)

yea it is the same try this first. but before working on the car disconnect the orange switch and wait at least 10min and also use gloves as a precaution. do this at your own risk and be careful.

In my optima I had the hybrid system warning come on while driving. It would go away for a bit and then come back on. After leaving it for a couple days I started it up again and it seemed fine. I warmed it up, drove around the block without issue.. Any Idea what cause this intermittent warning?

The fuse is the problem, another video I seen said there was a recall on some cars to replace the 125 amp to 150. Cost me like 6 online

yea it could be the fuse the issue I would advise you to upgrade the fuse to 150 like it says in the recall

Привет. Я на сонату поставил батарею от оптимы. Проблема в том что у них разная ревизия и bms блок другой ревизии. Родной бмс умер вместе с батареей. Соната с бмс от оптимы очень редко удаётся запустить. В основном это происходит успешно когда батарея разряжена, и тогда машина включается чтобы её зарядить. На сканере ошибок нет совсем никаких. Если батарея заряжена хотя бы на 30% то машину не удаётся запустить, только лишь запускается режим зажигание. Я заказал бмс родной на ебей, но он будет очень долго ехать, потому что я в России. Есть какие нибудь идеи чтобы подружить бмс и машину ?
