How I Flipped A Honda Civic In A Failing Car Market. At the time of purchasing this 1993 Honda Civic Hatchback, I had no idea that the United States used car market was crashing. I bought this B16 swapped Honda Civic with the intentions of making some serious profit. My goal was to buy it for $1,600 and sell it for no less than $4,500. A gross profit of $2,900. Great price to start with. In Washington state I can't even get a running 1992-2000 manual car for less than $2000 even stock d series. With a "running" b16 minimum $3k even with issues. Wish I was Midwest with a closer pool of available vehicles. They downside to the corner of the country and a fairly big state. I'm in the process of getting everything together to manual swap my daily 2000 ex and can't even get a d series trans for under $300. Not even an s20. Crazy up here.

I am also in Washington state currently. The Honda thing is real here. Very hard to find one that is worthy. I have been in California for a while and it is not so hard to find. I think it is because there is no emission testing up here in Washington and the older cars get turbo/tuning, causing the demand to go up for these type of cars.
