Good observation. I hardly noticed the mic because of distractions in this video 😆

Great Emma! Very nice of you to share this with us. Also, just quick feedback, I maxed out both my MBP speakers volume and YT's and still it was a little hard to listen because it was too low =/ Maybe a double check on the audio next time? Anyways, thank you so much and keet up the good work!

6:43 EXACTLY what had happened to me in one of my interviews. I asked if I was code in any specific way but no just in general. So I spent all these hours and created in React, the code worked as mentioned in the specification. Next thing I know the main Tech lead gets back to me saying I wanted to see your code in vanilla Javascript. I stated no you didn't, I specifically asked you how you wanted this coded and I even demonstrated a working demo of exactly what the challenge requested. But he said no I was looking to see coded a different way without using any frontend libraries. What a dick move. I told him I can't read your mind, I went by what the specification said. He said thank you and I said welcome for wasting my time and not being clear about it all. By the way, a really nice informative and insightful video. Thank You!

This is so helpful! I am a Product Manager and am planning a future move to Denmark. I was an exchange student near Freiburg - this video was amazing to hear what your experience was like! Salary was a huge question for me. I definitely feel spoiled in the US on that one so it's helpful to hear some of your perspective

You're not wrong about issues bringing pets into the UK. We brought our two cats back to the UK from Riyadh a few years back and thought we'd done everything we needed to get them straight through, vaccinations, agent, cat boxes, the lot. They got to the UK, and Heathrow found a date mismatch of 4 days relating to the vaccination and refused them entry. Cue the panic. It took us a day or two to find a place they could do quarantine in - there are only 5 places in the UK that are allowed to do that, and they're always full - and we eventually got them back home 3 1/2 months later.

@Lepinkainen_4 жыл бұрын
Getting paid once a month is definitely an european thing. Most bills come in once a month, so it's more logical to pay people once per month.
@jukoe4 жыл бұрын
Wait. That isn´t normal? :D
@Lepinkainen_4 жыл бұрын
@jacob bogers Yea, and you'll be paying $2000 PER CHILD for childcare every month, for example. The higher salary goes away pretty quickly. And $deity forbid if you get sick, whooo boy. Better set up a gofundme and soon. In europe you'll pay for the parking and maybe coffee in the cafeteria more than the actual hospital stay =)
