I appreciate the work you are doing. Nevertheless, we have to deal with the reality that the majority of folks in the US have no access to these tests, and subsequent analyses, unless they pay out of pocket, an impossible task for the vast majority of Americans. You're describing doing something that should be normal care, and maybe one day, if we don't blow ourselves up, it will be available to all. And maybe if we change the world we live in for the better, these 1-6 built in deficiencies, won't have the opportunity to express themselves. In the meanwhile, your work is extremely important and I wish you the best.

as you are mentioning his tests, could you give me some hints which atp/mito panels and which whole genome he uses? being a researcher, I am absolutely enthusiastic about his ideas and I think I could do it myself. but it would be best to start with the right inputs. And I wish there would be a forum or reddit group or search, where we could discuss.

Makes a lot of sense, and you look very well! You might like the book "Genetic Entropy" by John Sanford I wonder whether most of the people who become dependent on mega-dose thiamine (or any other nutrient, for that matter) for normal function simply have mild inborn errors of metabolism, which simply haven't been identified via common genetic panels.

What you are talking about is the 'real' promise of mapping the human genome back in the 1980's, 1990's and what we missed when President Clinton 'released' the genome map in 2020. The promise that everyone could be cured of most, if not all, issues/diseases that lie hidden in their genomes. Great work Chris!

Retinoic acid use up your store of riboflavin, pantothenic acid and ATP ,It is therefore not surprising that you have higher needs of them when you eat animal liver, your CYP p450 enzymes that is needed for retinoic acid metabolism and clearance are most certainly inhibited by your coffee consumption and previous exposure to glyphosate and this will make you even more sensitive to the accumulation of retinoic acid. Ni cause the inhibition of fatty acid oxidation makes me think that in reality it is your switch from a (vegan high nickel diet) to a diet lower in Ni but higher in b5 ,b2 and zinc that made the real difference.

Excellent work - Ben Lynch’s work was a start for me, this is next level. Given the limited research on numerous gene variants including and especially synergistic hetergyz - is substantial non-researched inference required? Example - find a gene or genes with a lot of SNP’s (researched or not) and within the same pathways and hypothesize the interaction. I realize that nerds will scoff at this question given the numerous issues present in it - in the end, is guesswork required to connect the dots between SNP’s?

Who could give me a clue which atp/mitochondrial panel he recommends? And which full genome? judging from this video, these are the basic inputs for this type of analysis. I could already order them while on the waiting list. or, being a researcher, if he does not accept me, I would try hard to do it myself. I absolutely love his idea, but the entire thing takes a huge lot of time, add to that the waiting list, and I really want to start testing now, at least the basics.

@@MichaelMerritt Thanks!! and do you know what ATP/mito panel he uses? btw if you are interested, I have done for myself sthg similar as what he did and it boosted my thinking + energy wonderfully. It worked like this: 1. get the best ATP test available here (Europe). result: deficiency. 2. All ordinary vitamin test showed sufficiency. 3. buy a 30x WGS and get the Geneyx tool, which can be used for free if you or a friend of yours has an academic email. It takes weeks to learn but it's not difficult if you have scientific thinking 4. get every advanced test on metabolism e.g. vitamin metabolism 5. result: I was hetero for some genetic varians that are B6 responsive, and my B6 and my folate metabolism showed pecularities in a test by the most advanced lab here: IMD Berlin. 6. an improvements in thinking and energy that I could have never imagined... but now I would like to refine my approach (and resolve my nondiabetic small fiber neuropathy and my dependence on the ketogenic diet / inability to live normally with carbs) using his labs, In particular his ATP and mito panels that I was unable to find out online... of course I would love to get his help, but living in Europe and having issues that prevent me from traveling to the US he will give me the lowest priority in his waiting list... :-(

Amelia it is possible to join Chris’ master pass forum for $20.00 a month where you can get extra information and even community discussion on how to address long COVID. My sons have nonverbal autism and everything I’ve learned through following Chris’ work has not only benefitted me but also relates to my children. Either way it seems that some people who have long COVID really benefit from Zinc and N Acetyl Cysteine supplementation. These are both supplements that help a certain subgroup of people on the autism spectrum. Of course the best thing is if you can identify the rare disease causing genes that you carry. But even if you can’t it’s still worth it to safely experiment with supplements after researching and determining what would seem helpful based on symptoms.

Cutting down a tree with a microtome. To pretend we are all somewhat flawed somewhere without addressing all of the basic issues is not a prescription for health. The number of pathways, metabolic and otherwise, are so complex not to mention all the different ways of epigenetic modifications. Thinking that a few genes will be the key seems to be hubris... respectfully ... IMHO.

The profound complexity you speak of leads to an average effect of being average which means it drives what everyone shares in common as the path to health. This is not a claim that all of health is about a few genes. It is that most of the idiosyncratic portion of health is.

Strategene essentially started and advertises this. They built a gen map that includes all enzymes and claim to include all SNPs with scientifically backed evidence to be relevant. Though it should be obvious that they make it too simple, that a lot of individually relevant SNPs simply do not reach significance, because most people can overcome those singular defects. What we need is a much broader, detailed extension of the strategene enzyme maps built with Chris' and others knowledge.
