how i get defined curls with a denman brush

this is how i use my denman brush on my curly hair 👇🏽
i use the denman d3 in small sections once my hair is fully detangled and i have added all my products, i release the tension to help curls form from the root, otherwise my hair is pulled straight under tension the whole time and my curls don’t form as well.
