I crushed an 8.5km run this morning. I didn't want to get out of bed but I knew Russ was out crushing his 1's and 2's so I laced up and went on stompin'.

Did a half marathon yesterday in the heat. I felt tired halfway through because it was so hot but then I remembered to just keep stomping those 1's and 2's. The game is the game.

i was on a 100,000 km run last morning. I felt tired and wanted to give up but then i remembered how Russ was stomping through his 1's and 2's in africa. This gave me the motivation and i proceeded to circumnavigate the whole globe twice before nightfall. Russell Geezerson Cook is so inspiring and truley one of the gingers of all time.

I love how casual 20k is to Russ. 'See you in 20k mate', and then when he rocks up after 20k he is hardly even sweating. Dude is an animal. Last time i ran 21k i had such bad chafing on my bum cheeks it hurt to sit down for days.

Guys, if the sickness is recurring, you need to have Russ tested for intestinal parasites by a physician! I'm an airline pilot and I have had two or three of those parasites when I used to fly long range. The thing is, some of them don't go away without very specific medication and will keep sapping Russ' energy until they are eradicated. So PLEASE do see a Doctor about it , okay? It just doen't make sense to imperil the whole thing like that, because these microscopic geezers are definitely harder still. Okay? The very, very best wishes from Germany, Marco.

I'm 28 and am stuck in a huge rut. I feel like I've let myself and my family down, wasted my potential, and pushed all my friends away. I even feel like my family are losing hope in me. I was having suicidal tendencies the other day, feeling very sorry for myself and depressed, but I'm just happy this series has coincided with this tough time in my life. I keep thinking - if I really have lost all hope and I really can't pick myself back up, I could at the very least start running. i'm very inactive and sit on the sofa all day every day, and I wonder why I'm depressed. thanks for shwing me that this is an option

Small steps Calum. Don’t even feel the need to run, just get out and walk. That’s a physical step in the right direction! I’m having cold showers every morning, as they give me a rush of dopamine when I wake up. Every time I don’t want to do it I just say to myself: “we don’t do rest days” 😂 Look after yourself man x

That's an honourable homepage to the Hominid spirit. And to the legend of Benji C. Who ran from nowadays: city of Benguela, Angola; to the city of Cape Town, R.S.A.; back and forth. And around 50 years ago. The Namibian dude, that appears at 8:14 of the above posted video, dresses in a speedo and a cape; in homage to the traditional goat leather skin speedo; that the possumus great Benji C. used during his adventure run, across the also: great ancient nation of the Angolares.
