Hi Arianna, I just thought you should know that I just discovered your channel and I’m crying. You are everything I want to be in my near future. Since I was very young, my dream was to create art and attend NYU. I will be a junior in high school. I have started thinking about future plans. Unfortunately, I have been losing hope recently and NYU had become a second thought until I started watching you. Your videos have brought back an excitement in me and a drive to pursue my dream. So yeah, just wanted to thank you!

This video was SO helpful for me! I'm a senior who is currently working on my app for NYU. I'm not applying to TISCH- though if I get into NYU, I would love to take cross-school beginners acting classes since I haven't done theatre since I was much younger. You answered a lot of questions that other youtubers haven't especially about the common app and the why NYU essay! Thanks so much for your help and I hope you have a great first year 💜

Aww, I almost cried when you talked about getting accepted into NYU!! So nice to see someone so happy and passionate about something :D I'm planning to apply for Tisch as well, either fine arts or acting, but I'm 17, it's my last year in high school and I've only recently gotten into acting. I've done a couple of school plays and short films, but never anything out of school. I'm worried it's not enough experience and I've never taken any acting classes :/ Do you think I should take some time to improve and gain experience first before I apply? Also, do you know the international academic qualifications to get into NYU? Thank you so much!

Omg I got so many chills watching your video and I was super nervous watching it too because I'm applying to NYU TISCH for just acting and this is a dumb question but will early decision help because that's what I plan on doing and also is it ok if I get as many letters of rec for the common app. My SAT and ACT scores are average but I know NYU is test flexible so I know that because I passed 4/5 APs I took that will help and I my weighted GPA is 5.1 and unweighted is 3.8 and plus my mom is a NYU alumna. Like this is my dream school and it's do or die for me lol but I'd really appreciate it if you could get back to me 😁

You are so beautiful like wow.... So i was wondering how much your acceptance to tics had to do with your grades. Because i am from europe and we have a completely different grading system so i am kinda scared they might turn me down cuz i don't have a good SAT and final score and stuff like that because we don't have that here. Anyways thank you so much for the video it really helped.
@AriannaWilliams8 жыл бұрын
I am not really sure how the conversion works for international students, but grades definitely are a part of the application. Because NYU is so strong academically they want students who take both seriously! Is it the end all be all? I don't think so, but I can't lie and say your grades don't hold weight because they do :( But I have no idea what they look for in students applying from europe!

Also, on the NYU Tisch website it says to click on a department to learn about the Artistic Review Requirements, did you have to apply for one of these specific departments and if so which one should I choose if I am interested in theatre? The best advice is to write about what topic is the best representation of who you are as a person. If you try to write about what you think they want to hear, it will not be genuine to you, so if that is what you feel like you need to write about, then write about it! But I will say you should add stuff about NYU in particular and not just the city

Frizzy Red NYU is very open to accepting international students and even hold informational sessions in major cities around the world. Look at the section for international students on the university’s website and there will be useful information on what standardized test score requirements there are for your country and other important contacts. Hope this helps! Good luck!

NYU Tisch fro musical theatre has always been my dream school but I cant afford it, even though I cant afford it I'm still going to apply and audition to see if I can get in.

Emily Maureen Good for you! Be sure to fill out the FAFSA and CSS profile and to look for scholarships online and in your community, as well as grants and such on the NYU website to help you fill the gap.

Hey Arianna! :) Firstly, thanks a lot for this video,it helped a lot! I have a question tho... I don´t have any acting experience and I have never done acting before, because of the circumstances in my life. I just know that it has always been my dream to act since I was a child and I do think that I have a lot of talent for it. So know I would like to hear your assesment on how likely it is to be accepted to a good acting school with no experience? (Because I feel like these people should be given a chance too?) However, I would be so happy to recieve an answer from you! Greetings from Germany! :)

Hi Carlotta!! Thank you so much for leaving such a nice comment! I would never discourage someone from applying to NYU and even if you do not have any experience, if it is your dream, you should at least try or else you will always wonder what could have been! Experience is recommended but obviously not required so you should absolutely try!
