Your milk supply doesn't suffer at all? I notice a change in mine when I pump every 4 hours instead of every 2-3. I exclusively pump. Im told to pump whenever baby eats, which is 2-3 hours currently. Shes 1 month old on Monday

i have a 3 week old who hated his bassinet and i was not a good at swaddling. i bought the Halo swaddle and it’s amazing! 100% recommend. also, i was hesitant to use pacifiers but i decided to implement them bc baby was overeating by self soothing on my breast. i recommend the Evenflo Feeding Balance paci. 😊

Hi, are you exclusively breastfeed the baby? I always get mastitis in the morning just because trying to let him sleep longer
@KileanRodriguez
@KileanRodriguez 2 жыл бұрын
I am!! I have never had mastitis thank GOODNESS. But my only advice would be to slowly push out your feedings so your body can get use to the amount of time you go without feeding. So like one night try to feed every 4 hours, then the next every 5, and so on. Hope this helps 🤎

This was so so so helpful. My baby will be 7 weeks tomorrow and my longest stretch I have ever gotten of sleep is 6 hours. I am going too try the 5 S's and the night routine consistently. I am using the owlet every night and other momma's that are reading this and considering getting one it's life changing. I can sleep without having to reach over and touch my baby and maybe wake them up. Thank you Kilean for being a rock star mom I recently found you when you were about 35 weeks pregnant and so happy I did because our babies are so close in age. Last thing is a question about Brest feeding, Has Rocky ever just not wanted to feed or not interested when feeding but it's been about 4 hours? That is one of my problems right now and I kinda get stressed because I don't know if she isn't hungry or what. Just want other mommas help because doctors scare the hell out of me when they say some things. XOXO

Hey just wondering what you do if he will just not go down for a nap, like how do you adjust it? My baby usually shows sleepy cues at about an hour so if he skips a nap it could be hours before putting him down again. My baby mostly doesn't want to take a nap/ go to bed from 6-9.

Hi! First really helpful video. I am a bit scared of using a pacifier. With my first we didn’t use it but putting her for a nap was nightmare. On the other hand she started her full night sleep at 4 months and these were solid long nights without any assistance from us. I love ur video cause it really seems to work well and i czn imaging following similar scheme. Could you just tell how the night with the pacifier looks like? How many times do u need to put it back? Would he wake because it fell out ? A video around pacifier use would be great! Also because u have a bigger perspective right now. How is it going at age 4 months?

Room sharing is recommended by the APA, for the first 6 months to a year I think. If you have a crib and bassinet in your room I don't think it matters which you use, but if your crib is in a different room that could be a reason why not too. But do what's best for you! I think the theory is the some babies will prefer the bassinet because it is smaller and more confined.

Sleeping in the same room as your baby the first six months dramatically reduces the risk of SIDs. Plus, infants tend to sleep better at that age when they can hear a parent nearby. Especially the first month you probably will get up so often it’s not worth it to go to another room. My son gets up at least 4 times a night at a month old, and that’s very common. Hope that’s helpful!

Perfectly fine for newborns to sleep through as long as they have a consistent healthy weight gain. My little girl is a little over 3 weeks old and has been sleeping from midnight to 6am since she was 1 week old! Our midwife gave us the go ahead because she didn't ever go under her birth weight, she just kept putting it on 😂 Went from 4.7kg to 5.3kg by her 1 week check up.

Thank you everyone for this!! Always talk with your pediatrician but my little guy is gaining weight perfectly and is super happy! , doesn’t make sense to wake him at this point 💛
