i was aware of all the points you’ve made- but there’s something about hearing it come from someone else that really helps. it’s like I don’t believe these thoughts and validations if they come from me. but i feel relief when someone else says it - so thank you.

I have the same issue and let me tell u something that helped me ,record yourself saying these things to you and watch yourself after That way you’re literally seeing someone saying it to you . U can also speak how u feel and watch it after - that way you are seeing yourself as a human thats going thru stuff. It might sounds silly but try it once and see what happens🤍

I developed social anxiety as a child. Didn't know what it was back then but when I took a psychology class in college and did more research on the topic, I had it. I'm learning to heal from mine as well. Not completely their yet, but getting there. I am on path of being completely authentic to who I am. Not caring to meet up to societal standards, expectations, pressures, people's opinions. I simply want to live and be myself in my purest form. Life is too short.

I've realized since childhood I always felt this weird feeling of being around too many people and I didn't know why. I remember this one specific time when I was five years old and it was the first day of school I was supposed to sit by my class and I didn't I just sat by myself and I felt so uncomfortable already because we were in the cafeteria room and it was soooo many people which made me even more uncomfortable and ever since as I continued growing up I always felt like being around too many people was too much and I loved being in small rooms that didn't have too many people in them. And one day I came to the conclusion that being in rooms where there is too many people made me uncomfortable is because I feel I'm going to be judged by those I don't know and I feel it stems from childhood from being picked on alot by a particular parent who made me veryyyyy insecure at a young age so when I started getting around others it was like my first thought was fear because I was being judged alot at home so going out in the world made it even worse with being around different people even still now at 23.

I recommend checking out a person called HINDZ on youtube if you don't already and listen to what he has to say. The mental clarity this man can help you with is crazy. Also anxiety has no age limit so don't feel like "oh because I'm this age I should be getting it together by now" take it easy. The fact that you're mindful and aware of the problem is already a step taken forward

I love the point about triggers. Recently I’ve been paying attention to what might set off a “trigger” during certain situations. And the best ways I’ve been able to heal is to be present in those moments and talk myself through it! My brain then stops sending crazy messages to the body which helps me to relax. The more you do this, the more the anxiety lessens!

and the good part is, when you see yourself extremely vulnerable you just become extremely magnetic to everyone... someone who doesnt hide anything and just shows true interest, love and connection is a trully strong person that everyone can learn from! And if things doesnt go the way you planned, you just fine, because you know deep down you were true to yourself and to the other person, no regrets and no guilt, its magical. People need to stop justifying their actions based on external enviroment, you need to do things because you trully want to... if you caught yourself giving these types of excuses, you are not being true to yourself neither the other person.

For someone like me who really flourishes in social situations and is a social butterfly as they call it this was really insightful. I used to be pretty irritated with someone who wouldn't speak up in a group setting, but the other day I talked to someone in that group setting and she told me about her social anxiety and so I instantly felt more empathetic. This is the dilemma though: if you have social anxiety you are afraid to speak up, but if you don't others can't understand and it can actually make someone who does not have social anxiety pretty uncomfortable. Like you are hiding something or really just sits there and judge the rest of us who are sharing and contributing. It's not easy either way.

"usually people don't care what you are doing" Problem is what happens when they do, when they are aggressive, rude and unfair? How to handle criticism, this is not explained in video, and this is the core of social anxiety: Trauma from narcissistic abuse. "not everybody meant to be your best friend" Problem is a situation when you depend on difficult person due to service, money, help, resource - and this person is triggering you into panic - and you have to be around this person, ask this person for data, help, service - and they want only their way and they humiliate you. "replacing thoughts with worthiness" This one is paradox. If you signal your brain that your negative thoughts must be replaced - you are telling and instructing your brain not to trust yourself, that you are inept - and toxic shame thwarts this instruction into fear and panic and distrust. Instead of this Classical CBT advice, the better approach is paradoxical, third wave of CBT: accepting and acknowledging the negative.
