Hello there , I’m currently a BSN RN and I would really love to talk to you on getting my Assisted living administrator license. I am wondering what could help me pass the NAB exam as well as far as study guides. This information would be gladly appreciated. Thanks a lot! 😊 Isis

Can you tell me how you found a place to do AIT?? And is it required?
@perrottarober4 жыл бұрын
It is reauired to do an AIT. I live in OH some colleges have LNHA programs that the internship suffices the AIT requirements. There are 3 tests, state, NAB, and LOS. Hit me up if you have questions.

Yes. Call your state program directory over NH and they usually can send a list of preceptors

Hello, I have a question, I’m almost graduating with a bachelors in healthcare management. My question is, how do nursing home administrators get paid? Do they receive a salary ? Or they get paid by hours

Thanks for sharing the message! I got licensed as a nursing home administrator in September 2019! I'm having a hard time finding a job. I do live in the city and now realize that I may have to consider a small town. My question is how did you become an owner? Again, thank you for sharing this video!
@thenursinghomeadministrato95024 жыл бұрын
A couple of times in my life time and preparation met opportunity. There are many nursing homes that are not part of a large corporation. You can also if you have capital visit brokers that sell nh and all types of healthcare properties and businesses.

How did you go from operator to owner?
@thenursinghomeadministrato95024 жыл бұрын
Operator is a management company. Many NH companies are management companies and do not own the physical building. They pay the owner money per month. Usually owner places upkeep requirements also

I'm writing this comment super late, but maybe you or anyone reading this can help me figure this out. I used to live in California and was an able bodied woman with Spina bifida. I moved to Oklahoma and had surgery which caused paralysis from the waist down. I was forced to enter into a skilled nursing facility (nursing home) because my family are unable to care for me. I'm on Medicaid and am not privy to a lot of benefits because of my age (41) and because I did not work enough credits. I have been trying to get back to California to my friends and adopted family. My problem is nobody can or will take me in and I may need to be in another facility (I need help with some adls). I have asked for help in finding a new place near LA but no one here in OK knows what to do. Every facility I have tried (about 25) is unwilling to take me based on my age or because I have Oklahoma Medicaid and will not qualify for Medi-Cal until I get there. I just wanna go home. If anyone knows an administrator of a long term care facility, please let them know my story. Help me to get home.

Unfortunately your story happens more than not. Try to reach state assistance in California that may be able to help and get an address in California. If you are currently on OK medicaid you may try to find a California nursing home that will take you as pending. The evidence is there that you will qualify. Since I am not that familiar with California regulations see if you can talk to a social worker in a California nursing home.

I am in the exact situation with my mother. She’s in a nursing home but I want to make her home into a skilled nursing home and be the administrator (at least initially) so that I can coordinate her care at her home and generate income to help support her care in her own home at the same time.
@thenursinghomeadministrato95022 жыл бұрын
Due to regulations transforming a home into a SNF is practically impossible. You should look into assisted living and find out your states rules and regulations.
@MTV1123 жыл бұрын
Love the content man. I’d love to talk about my plan for 2022 related to assisted living/nursing homes and see what you think. Open to paying for any help you provide. I have a degree in business management- i was a restaurant manager/area manager for a few years, got out of it and got into real estate sale/flipping- now I’m in charge of managing the lease/tenants for an assisted home facility in north ga and they are moving to another larger facility - and I’m wanting to take over the lease/buy the business… the money is great but honestly I fell in love with the people and the staff, I’ve had family in this home before and I love what they do, … so I’d see it as a 5-6 day a week admin job with supporting managers around me to keep things smoothly operating and a as a business to continue the work I feel like God has led me to do. Real estate is still my passion but I can do it part time and have plenty of time for this new business. I can do the management side from a business/food/hiring/etc stand point but of course with no medical background I’d be hiring a full time manager for the day to day/patient/forms side of the business.
