Ok, but i gotta state this: GENETICS play a huge role in this. For example, me- i have never dyed/bleached my hair, i never use any heat on my hair, i use natural cosmetics for my hair, i don't rub my hair crazy after washing it. And still my hair grows slow af. So don't feel stessed/disheartened if your hair is just gonna be slow. :)

I’ve spent years asking hair dressers for advice on my hair (shampoo, conditioner and such). Only 2 hair dressers have given me advice on items like that, which annoyed me as I was with another hairdresser for a few years and she said my hair was fine until I was referred to by another hair dressers by a friend, and I had to change my shampoo and conditioner ASAP as it was damaging my hair. I now purchase TIGI CATWALK Honey & Oatmeal. It’s a little expensive but it lasts LONG for me. I also buy (and this is the more expensive one) Olaplex No 3. It’s repaired my hair massively and even calmed down the fizz on my hair. I will say I’ve also changed other hair related items such as my hair brush (now a tangle teaser) and hair bands (now scrunchies as previous hair bands I’ve tried have seriously damaged my hair). All thanks to my hair dresser’s advice! So please talk to your hair dressers! If you need a second opinion on things then ask another hair dresser in a different location. I did this before dying my hair silver/blonde and even then I had to wait months for my hair to repair itself with the new products I was buying!

I hardly use heat on my hair. Now my mom and i got a perm for my brother's wedding last year and it KILLED my hair, i mean i had a clump of hair that broke underneath my hair and was so embarrassing, I had so many dead ends to almost the crown of my head ( keep in mind, I had my hair layered in trim after about 6 months) that didn't help, after I would wash my hair the day afterwards I would either curl it, or straighten it... worst idea I've ever done. My hair was silky smooth and straight before I got the perm, until about almost 3 weeks ago I got my hair cut into a medium short Bob-ish style, layered and got the perm curls completely out, not using heat anymore as much and I'm drinking more water, so I will say the worst idea you could do is get a perm

My hair grows soooo slowly. It basically doesn't grow at all, give it 2-3 years and it's the same. But this week I noticed that my nails have become stranger and my hair has finally grown. I think it's because I've been drinking milk and eating yogurt during the past 5 months. Other than that my diet has been quite the same, although I started to have salad for lunch every day. I need to find something to replace dairy products with though because I prefer vegan products.

I don't often comment but wow the major throwback vibes from this video, you took me back in time 😭 Also how come that time when you cut your hair after going brunette was just last year?? Time?? Flies?? Anyway, I went through losing a lot of my hair six years ago because of the stress of graduating from high school and I couldn't agree more with all you said because that's how I got back relatively healthy hair. It's still a bit thin and I can't grow it but I know that's because of my anxiety issues which I'm still working on. But switching to a healthier approach to health (?), finding a good routine and using heat and shampoo the least you can definitely helps a lot!
