Your rawness in this video is so refreshing to hear. I know that so many of us think we'll be content when we get to point A, or point B. And once we arrive, we believe we still need to do more. You have all the time in the world, enjoy it! Love you!

kalyn- i adore you and support whatever you create. however, if i can be honest, it’s difficult as a viewer to navigate your “rebrand” and differentiating between your main channel and Koze. you had mentioned shifting to uploading the higher production value videos on your second channel and using the main for vlogs, but many of your dedicated fans (including myself) were drawn to you and your style of videos from this main channel and subscribed to Koze for vlog content/extras/etc. it just seems a little opposite, especially in terms of your views and engagement. nothing but love for you always, please don’t take this the wrong way! just letting you know what i’ve noticed 💞

Sometimes I forget that you’re young... I’m 33, and I feel like you’re like around my age even though the gap isn’t as big as some assume. But when I was your age, I wasn’t as awakened or as in power of my life. I don’t usually like to compare people, but girl, don’t worry about anything, you’re always on the right track with more enlightenment than most people. You’re like a leader type so maybe that pressures you sometimes... but that’s probably it. Your life is awesome and you’re inspiring to so many people! Congrats on your journey!

I agree with this, for sure. I didn't start my awareness/consciousness path until I was 30 with a 5 yr old daughter so, to me, she's wayyy ahead. I'm a viewer from the v beginning & initially subbed for hair & makeup mostly.. But I'm turning 40(!) 3 mos from tmrw & although in some ways I'm a bit more advanced than kalyn (actually my daughter's name but she's Caelyn :)) bc of the time I've put into it, there are so many other ways where she's light years ahead of me. I can tell she's still finding her place a little but that's honestly what that age seems to be for and it's great! Growth & mistakes & all of it - it helps you form your true life path. Hell, not even kidding, I went the traditional route - went to college for 4 yrs, found a fabulous job serving (bc money was awesome) but it wasn't my purpose. Had an *AWFUL & HORRID* quarter life crisis about a year early. Moved out of state 1k miles away, on my own. Then got married, had a kid at 25, left him 8 months later (abuse). Then flailed around, serving again until medical issues occurred, came back home, & have been working on myself ever since. I became a traditionally published author during that time (English lit major) but haven't done anything else. Until literally the beginning of this year, when I was accepted into Eckhart Tolle's School of Awakening & now I know what I've pretty much always known but never had the confidence to do. I'm here to help others heal & find their own path. Once the course is over, I'll be a mindfulness(/life) coach. And it took me THIS long to figure it out lolll *BUT KALYN* - damn, she may still be wavering here & there but she's been making moves for years! And rocking it. She just needs a little more time, as we all did at that age. Short story really long, at my age, I still watch her bc I generally find at least one thing to take away from a video, if only inspiration or motivation! She's incredible and I only see her doing better & better things!!

I love you Kalyn, and you look fabulous but... it feels like you try too hard to make every single decision in your life have some deeper meaning. You've been teasing/hinting about "you guys will understand soon" for weeks. Tattoos are one thing, but it's just hair. You didn't have to wait to have some big story time reveal. You could have just told us when it happened but you waited so as to elevate the suspense and "deeper meaning." The people who have been following you already know you're deep. You don't have to make it so transparent that you want us to think that. We love you regardless of your hair style. And I hope one day "finding yourself" will require less physical change and more emotional change. THAT is how you know you're becoming who you're supposed to be. Love you, Girl. Keep your head up.

I hope you can learn how to not put so much of your self worth into your hair. I didn't realize how unimportant it was to myself value until a chunk of my hair fell out due to stress and I cried. Then I was immediately ashamed of myself. Crying over a quarter size of hair that you can't even see. Hair doesn't dictate yourself worth. Try not to take yourself so seriously enjoy what you have now and if you get whims follow them. Life is short.

girl i totally get the hair realization. I hadn't cut my hair in like 10 years when i chopped it off in June and it was so freeing. It felt so weird having short hair, but my hair has grown so much and looks so healthy because i had so much dead hair and split ends. I look forward to growing it out again, but im using this time to try new colors in my hair since it takes only 1 box if i dye it at home compared to 2 or 3 boxes. I love the short hair on you, its super cute.

I had this happen to me at the beginning of last summer... I loved my long hair but I felt like I needed a change. I was no longer all that confident in the way that I looked (I felt like I was hiding myself with my hair), and I started a new job so I felt like it would be more professional to have short hair. I chopped it off and donated it, and especially at first it was great because I felt like a completely different person. When you change your appearance you can no longer picture yourself in your mind so you are less likely to have insecurities, and you feel like you can recreate yourself, it's great! I can't wait for it to grow out long again, but I'm glad I did it because my life changed so much from that point on, it was a great turning point for me and my confidence :)

I recently dyed my hair dark and chopped it off. I'm really glad I did it too because I feel like I've had a new beginning. Because my hair, before I did all of that felt like part of my identity and it became what people knew me by. When I decided to make these changes I was surprised when so many people actually supported it. There were a few, of course, that didn't want the change and still continue to try to put me down over it but I just dont listen to them because I decided to do this and I'm glad I did

I’ve been growing my hair out since I started middle school, which was 7 and a half years ago. I never imagined I’d consider chopping off my hair but now I’m seriously thinking about it. It looks so freeing but at the same time I find a sense of security in my hair, like it protects me and drapes over me. Maybe at some point, I am a good 6 and some change years younger than you Kayln, so maybe when I’m a bit older I’ll get to that phase of my life and do the chop!
@ForeveraDayDreamerxo5 жыл бұрын
Amelia Rose my freshman year of high school (2010) I decided I wanted to grow my hair out. By senior year I decided I wanted to donate it. I hate high school and my senior year I was ready to move on from all my fake friends so (this is so weird I know) but I made it like symbolic that cutting my hair the day after graduation I was cutting off everything high school related lol So (exact date lol) June 18, 2014 I donated my hair. And I cried. I didn’t know how attached I was to it. My hair was my security blanket too. I hide behind it (and it kept me warm in winter haha) (and I also liked the attention because I usually didn’t get that and the compliments lol). She cut the first pony and handed it to me and the tears were coming! After she finished I went outside crying. I was happy but it was the biggest change at that point I had made in my life. I was like, “woah. Shit. Wow. Okay I didn’t realize it would be this hard.” I’m not saying girl go chop it now. I just wanted to tell you my story because I felt the same way you did. So there’s no rush to cut! And you may feel the same way I did after you cut it. But trust me, in time you’ll be obsessed and SO FREE! And if not, well, it’ll grow back! Especially if you don’t do much to it, it’ll grow quick! This Wednesday I’m going in to donate for the third time! It gets more exciting to chop off every time 😂 Hopefully something of this helps! I just wanted to let you know that you’re not alone in the way you think of your hair. And whenever you’re ready, chop it girl! It is so freeing haha ♥️
@ameliarose475 жыл бұрын
It’s definitly a plus in the winter! And I’ve cried before even after little trims just to get off the dead ends (which is all I’ve taken off it for years). Probably if I’m going to do it I’ll start with taking off an extra inch or so and gradually kinda see what it is im ok with (and if I’m not ok with it it’s just an inch so not a big deal!) But my hair grows pretty slow, to get my hair to where it is (again with nothing but a few trims) it took a few years to go from shoulder length to halfway down my back. If it grew back quick I think I’d be less hesitant, but who knows. Thank you for sharing your story
@ForeveraDayDreamerxo5 жыл бұрын
Amelia Rose getting a trim with long hair is the biggest deal that people with short hair don’t understand 😂 I’d get a trim and freak out thinking my hairs so short now hahaha I totally get that! I think starting with an inch whenever you’re ready would be a great idea! And if you don’t like it than it is only an inch! But of course there’s no pressure! You do you girl ♥️ embrace that long hair! I’m in the stage of dang I’m gonna miss it because I’m cutting tomorrow haha
@ForeveraDayDreamerxo5 жыл бұрын
Sara Wood I hated getting trims because it felt like my hair was so short when really there was no change but to me it was drastic haha My hair was security for me in high school but now I love chopping it off! The change looks so amazing on you!!! I just got extensions for my wedding and honestly when you where talking about short not getting in the way, I was like 😪 I miss that to!

I love the hair! I totally struggle with accepting how far I've come as well. I'm graduating college in May, and one of my 2019 goals is to really appreciate myself and my efforts more. Cheers to 2019!

Color looks great on you. Can’t wait to see how you style the short hair as I recently chopped my hair off too! 💗

I love the look! Started to miss your blonde though, but both colors look great on you. I love a good chop off the hair moment. I did that a few years ago and then I think I did it again about a year ago. It's just refreshing and freeing.

I donated my hair in the summer, it was super long and I went super short! Since then had it cut once more to short again because it was so much easier to maintain! Then dyed the bottom of it pink! And now I can do any colour... Anyways! Love love love the haircut and how happy you look! It brings me so much happiness 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛🌜⭐

I love the cut and colour the guy did! And the sentimental story behind the chop.
