Thanks for the tips. I just looked at myself in the mirror today and immediately decided to switch my diet to Keto. I watched your 4 min keto video that you made with someone who I'm guessing was your roommate 4 years ago? I've been on keto before, but only lasted about 1 month. It was when I was living with the mother of my child and she was a huge anti-keto advocate, and also a baker. Needles to say, she over powered my will to lose weight with all the fresh baked cookies and brownies that she would leave out on the kitchen table. Now though, we are no longer living together and I want to lose at least 40 pounds. I think a tip that most people should consider in addition to having the mirror right next to their computer is take your shirt off as often as possible. Whenever you get fed up with the diet/exercising and you want to quit, look in the mirror with your shirt off. I guarantee that it will make you want to keep going. I just did this, and man...oh man..I'm ready to sacrifice whatever it takes to lose the weight! I will also say to anyone who has never done keto, that you might get keto flu the first week, but just know it's not too bad and it goes away quickly. Once you move past that and you're in ketosis, you'll have more energy and mental clarity that you'll wonder why you haven't tried this before. If you start craving sweets, you can buy keto bars that use stevia instead of corn syrup or sugar to tide you over the cravings. I also tried carnivore diet for 30 days and even though it was WAY stricter than keto, I didn't have any cravings. Too bad I wasn't able to stay on it as I was in between jobs and couldn't afford it, but I think that's the goal that I want to achieve in the future.

Awesome bro, I am a lot like you. I find keto great for losing weight but always start piling it back on once I go off it. Winter is my struggle. What is your height? I am 5'5 and my heaviest weight was about 215. Currently at like 185 but wanna get down to about 145 and stay there.

Not everyone needs 2000 calories a day and some people need more. I’m over 6 ft and have an active lifestyle. I need 3200 calories a day just to maintain my weight, any less and I’m losing weight. Everyone’s caloric needs are different. Average sedentary male needs 2500 calories a day.

He's 5'2 so 2k cals seems right for him. Everyone's BMR is different.
