I NEEDED to see this today! I tried journaling this morning and just felt so blah. This whole year I’ve just felt like I’m all over the place. I’ve been healing and building, but it hasn’t been as focused as I’d like. It’s amazing to hear you think through your processes. I just had surgery in Birmingham and I was like omg I’m in your town! You’re an inspiration! I agree on what you said about short form content. I find myself gravitating to it 80% of the time now. We can’t ignore it as creators. Cheers to a great 2024!

When I set my next year goals, I always write 1 core goal at the top of the page: 1 - Fking Survive. I do have big goals (I AM getting published in 2024), but man, as long as I make it through the year, sometimes that alone is an accomplishment. You can't fight for it if you don't survive.
@thecozyintrovert11 ай бұрын
I am not saying this in a rude way lol, I feel like it might come off that way- but, you don't have to make specific goals and vision boards- just go with the flow of life and enjoy it- nothing magically changes Jan 1st at midnight.

I love that you show the realistic side of goal setting, you didn't sit down and "pretend" to have it all together with some phony made up on the fly stuff just to appear a certain way. I'm sure most people can relate to this, goal setting is important if you want to move forward but it can also be difficult to do especially if you have multiple things going on in your life. Personally I'm still on the fence about short form content, I do think it's important and obviously very popular with the consumer and will continue to be so, however on the flip side, it's a one and done thing - you post and it needs to do well in the first few hours otherwise its gone (is this the same with KZbin shorts?), whereas long form stays searchable forever. I think you are doing the right thing focussing on whichever form of content suits you best at this time in your life. Keep doing what you are doing, I loved your "How to content" and would still enjoy those if you ever went back to it but I also really enjoy seeing how your lift has moved forward and what you are up to now and how your business is evolving :)

the short form content is something that i think i'm leaning more towards now. even though i want to do more regular vlogs, i found myself creating a routine and how much easier it is for me to edit on my phone vs taking out my laptop. so im with you! gotta setup my 2024 goals too 💖

Hey Cathrin, as you set goals and plan for 2024, remember to be extra gentle and kind with yourself 💛😊 I have a 10 yo and a 6 yo, and there are so many changes in the first 2-3 years. They are constantly growing and routines have to always be adjusted regularly. Some periods are harder than others. So just want to encourage you that you are doing amazing, and as you plan for next year, be extra gentle with yourself if things don’t happen according to plan. Also, there is usually a lot of internal growth that takes place once you become a mom, so be extra kind to yourself and be sure to take care of yourself too. As they say, can’t pour from an empty cup 💛😊 You are doing amazing! Little Man is so lucky to have you as his mama. And, oh, that new hair is 🔥🔥😉

I think you nailed it. It’s 100% okay to not know. There is something to to be said for giving yourself the grace to allow life to happen while your life shifts in postpartum. Let yourself follow your curiosity but don’t get caught up pushing towards anything.

I gotta confess that I watch fewer of your videos lately, because of all the baby content, which feels wrong, because your life is your life, and the videos should reflect that. But at the same time, my favorite stuff on your channel is the "how to" content, whether it pertains to creating better content on KZbin or fixing up your house. These videos are super engaging, and maybe something you should refocus your energy on. But whatever the case, I love your channel and appreciate what you do!👍

You're doing great with his sleep! Naps are harder than nights because there's less sleep pressure during the day. The brain also processes daytime sleep differently. One nap a day in the crib is GREAT for his age! You're rockin it!

Thank you for letting us into your life as a new mommy and all the steps and changes. Now your life is about to change a lot and I feel like your new challenge is to go with the flow, trusting and not planning now. Because you now know that everything changes in a blink of an eye. I remember how depressed you were when you got divorced and how hard it was when you had to sell your house, but you managed to grow and make your life truly beautiful again! Don't be hard on yourself, you are doing awesome! Congratulations! You will flourish anywhere you go because that's how you do it 🥰🥰👏👏 keep it up! Xoxo

I've been watching you for five years now and I love seeing your vlog content and how much you've grown and evolved as a person Cathrin! I'm also an entrepreneur and I struggled with finding and keeping my peace for my whole life really. Up until this year when I found peace (and more than I could ever imagine) in prayer, in faith, and in only listening to uplifting music that truly breathes more peace and faith into me. I stopped watching TV, movies, and most content because I found that most of it made me feel unworthy, or get caught in comparison or victimhood. You'll find peace if you keep spending time in nature. Also, Andrew Huberman's recent podcast about journaling and the specific methods you can use to feel better. I've journaled a LOT when I went through periods where I couldn't go to therapy regularly/when I just didn't have one. I hope that helps

the problem with short form content is that it's NOT the future as much as people think it is right now. first of all, good luck making money from shorts lol. I know someone who gets 100 million views on shorts per month and only makes $4,000 on average from those views. That's not sustainable. second, the audience watching your shorts is MUCH different (and much younger) and therefore will not convert for your sponsors as well. third, the views are extremely fleeting and it's so difficult to build a strong community through shorts (for most people). but, good luck.
