Hey J that turned out very cool, great job! just a quick tip ( you probably know this already but) In animation production when we deal with blendshapes we do the blink first and then we set the blink to 70 percent closed and we unwrap the uvs for the eyes and paint the textures on that model. Then when you fully open the eyes the eyelid squashes a bit which is kind of accurate to what the skin is doing when compressing and when the eye closes, you feel the texture stretching a little bit to give you that nice feeling of rolling over the eye but not enough to stretch and blur the textures. Anyhow, keep cranking these projects up, cheers!

I like that you included that parts at the beginning that are rougher and not as pretty and emphasized that idea of "It's okay that it's not perfect right now, this is the base we improve later." I think a lot of would-be creatives keep getting stuck in the idea that everything should look perfect all the way through. It's also really fun to see it take shape, I think it adds to the finished product rather than taking away.

29:03 kind of skimmed over your video so I might have missed out on something... But as a photographer the lighting is really confusing me. is the glow over her eyes from the light off the sword? If so the light source of the sword would be omni-directional, it wouldn't focus on her eyes only in the shape of the blade. The only thing like this that might be plausable would be if there was a light source, in front of her, and lower, and then her eyes would be darker from the blade blocking the light.

Absolutely awesome work. If you made the head and arms move a bit intermittently it would look more natural. Her movements seems a bit robotic and too perfect right now. The eyes are excellent, just add more facial expressions with the mouth and maybe make her eyes look at her sword and pivot slightly as the sword is drawn :)
