When I look down at my stomach and think there's "too much fat" I say instead "my body needs that fat to protect internal organs." You can apply this to pretty much any body part. :)

Love these tips!! What has helped me has been to stop taking pictures of myself for the purpose of going back to them to point out my flaws through the infamous two-finger zoom. I call that the zoom-in-of-doom. It's taken me a LONG time to be able to take pictures for purely enjoyment purposes and I love being able to positively look back on memories :)

i’m excited to dive into the geneen roth books. sophomore year of college was also my darkest point, twins! haha i played volleyball and totally understand how overwhelming and consuming the lifestyle is. living with disordered eating my whole adult life so far has been rough but i’m excited to find more resources (including your youtube channel) to change my mindset. thank you for sharing!!

The 2 first steps you listed was literally what my therapist had me work on as well since those are actions that will trigger the harmful behaviour. I still need the mirror-reminder from time to time, but it really does change a lot!

i covered up my mirror with a tapestry or with positive stickers. it meant i could look in it if i actually had to (e.g. doing my hair or makeup) but i didn't see myself every day or stare at myself pointing out flaws automatically!

Hey victoria this is my first comment on your channel but I just felt like I needed to say that you are an absolutely beautiful person inside and out, and I find it so endearing that you reply to your fans by name. There was never any question that you cared about your fanbase but you truly never fail at showing us your love and support. I just started highschool this year and am a very poor volleyball player, however your content always puts a smile on my face or helps encourage me to get better.

Hi Victoria! I love your openness and honesty. I have dealt with body issues since my early teens. I was overweight and was bullied. If anyone was wondering, having “fat boy” written over your face in your high school yearbook photo doesn’t help your self esteem. I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions privately. Thank you!

Having body positivity or positive body image kind of means that you should accept that fact that you will need to look at yourself. Avoiding looking at yourself just makes it harder for you to build a better relationship with your body bc it makes it seem like your body is wrong so your avoiding looking at it. I would start by looking at myself but replacing negative comments about my body with positive comments.

Also my friends like to tell me that I can’t have an eating disorder and that binge eating is just me having no self control and so I’ll stop eating for like a week and then I’ll eat non stop for a week and my friends call me fat or gross and the same with my parents so I’ll stop again and I know it’s not healthy and I have no control and I dunno what to do

Hey victoria I was wondering if you could maybe get some friends together and play some more volleyball together ☺️ Because I would love to see you guys maybe put together a pick up game.
