True, vintage workflow is dope in its own way and can lead to different results. As a professional producer with a family, I became obsessed with streamlining my workflow and getting more efficient so I appreciate the more modern MPC One in my studio. I’d like to get a vintage unit later on.

I feel you. Most times I just sit and relax making beats on my laptop stretched out on the sofa. When I fire up my gear, it can be time consuming, but I usually finish with a beat that I feel proud and accomplished by. Tracking out in to the daw is the other annoying aspect lol.

My mpc 2000 maxed out was 6 minutes sampling time. That was amply more sample time than I’ve ever used. The sound is unique compared to my mpc one, Fl studio SliceX , EPS 16 plus or Triton Pro. I’ll never sell it. I love the sequencer and the other functions on it. It’s a relic but I can live with that.
@sagcap79273 жыл бұрын
This is why the mpc and all mpc's are best at being drum samplers and midi sequencers. I used to try and do everything on one machine and grew frustrated threw time. You get the best out of production equipment when you use it for it's strong points.

You still have the trackmute function in the Mpc2000 classic but no dedicated button.
@basedvato4 жыл бұрын
yea I should of said that. You can def mute per track... just on the mpc2000xl you have a screen you can use the pads to bring in and out of mutes. Its not a game changer to me, because reality is the beat will be dumped down to DAW and arrange as needed. Appreciate it, next video will be way higher quality with lighting.
@uoffanaan3 жыл бұрын

If your blue screen is an mpcstuff V2, according to their website, it will glitch on any 2000 “classic” that has an installed 8 output board.

I have the 8-out now installed, and it barely glitches. Flicker here and there (not often), nothing that really hinders or makes using it less enjoyable.

Nice setup. I get my character from the sp-505 & mpc live. With the live you can have 4 fx on each pad & 4 fx on each track so you can really create some crazy stuff with 8 fx & my 505 provides a great sounding reverb & lofi effect. I also have the sp950 pc plugin if I want a sp1200 sound. For fun live fx I use the 404mkII. Every sampler has its own sound. You just have to find what you like the best & hopefully you can afford it. 😁

why are the samples you take in mono only in the left side ???🤔🤔
@basedvato3 жыл бұрын
Stereo sampling can eat up to much sampling time. So I just typically sample a mono channel. The mono sample will be heard on L+R. On mix down I can just add a imager plug in to give stereo width.
@1234DLTS3 жыл бұрын
@@basedvato that's crazy lol so all your beats in the machine only play in mono before the external daw mix?? just upgrade your ram or I guess whatever works for you I don't have that problem at all on the live or the 2500 I can sample whatever I need I sometimes sample 10 different songs lol make 10 different beats in one session and then separate later if I wanna focus on one particular sequence that's a lotta work tho bit I guess not if your used to it by now it would drive me crazy tho I gotta hear my mix stereo left and right
@basedvato3 жыл бұрын
@@1234DLTS I hear ya. but Id rather track into the daw mono because the individual outs are mono on the MPC. If I need more stereo dynamics ill throw ozone imager on the sample to widen the spectrum. Also can pan the drums to widen. I do like the idea of a MPC live, and saving a song to a ableton live als, and move it straight to the daw. Track out can be very annoying.
